Personality/History
Corbeau was born to a black Moon wolf, and a white Star wolf who had abandoned their packs long ago in order to be together. She was born in a litter of three, with a gray brother and a white sister. Originally thought to be the least likely to survive, she received little attention and even less food than the others. Instead of becoming weaker and dying, she thrived on the meager scraps and forced isolation. Desperately she sought to prove to her parents that she was as valuable as her siblings. While her brother and sister cowered in fear, she battled an angry quail that sought to peck the daylights out the pups for wandering too near its nest. It was by no means a spectacular feat, but she was mightily proud of herself for it. She stood on the dead body until her parents returned from their hunting trip. But immediately she was tossed aside to make room for the others to eat her prize. She disappeared within herself for days, laying in the corner of the den, brooding. She couldn't figure out why they didn't see her as an equal to her siblings. She had done what they could not.
Two weeks later the litter was taken out on their first hunting trip. Her brother and sister played with each other, waiting for their food as they always had done. But Corbeau, unnamed by her unloving parents, watched their every move closely. Then came the test. Her parents led all three pups deep into the wilderness, beyond any trail they had known, and left them there. They would return in a week to see who had learned enough to survive, and who had not. One week passed, and the adults, accompanied by the morning sun, found only Corbeau. The other two pups were gone forever. The parents were furious, they set on Corbeau with punishing fangs. What they didn't know was that Corbeau had taught her siblings to hunt, and thus kept them alive. But only the day before, their hiding spot had been discovered by a starving Wolverine. All three pups fought bravely, but the Wolverine proved too much. Corbeau had used every bit of strength in her little body to try to save her siblings, though they had never noticed her any more than their parents.
She lay in complete submission, enduring her parents reprimanding teeth. Her little tail wagged slightly when they finished. She thought that she had finally won their trust and attention. But it was quite the opposite. They now treated her as a burden, something they couldn't get rid of try as they might. As she grew, she became more introverted. A year later she returned to the den after a hunting trip to find a savage set of teeth latching to her leg. She yelped and lept back, dropping her kill. Instantly she was released, and she danced away, looking at her mother with confusion. Pricking her ears, she could hear whines and cries of something in the den. The sound was something she had never heard before. Her mother drove her away, stealing Corbeau's catch and disappearing down into the den to tend to her new litter.
Filled with endless confusion, and finally fed up with being ignored and under-appreciated, she left. She traveled for years, seeking someone who would accept her. So now, three years and countless packs later, she has come here. She wants nothing more than to be accepted, loved, and admired for her skills.
