"The boys are back in town." A large, dark stranger trod through the mountain pass, grass crunching beneath his pale grey paws. His dark, glittering eyes watched the surroundings with practised care, taking in every abnormality. Ebony-brown ears flicked at any sign of sound that wasn't the regular trod of five other wolves behind him. Kinaki was first; he always was for a reason that nobody really knew.
For although his company consisted of the clever, the strong, the persuasive, the nimble and the devoted, who could probably all beat Kinaki at what they did best, he managed to keep them all together. Because that's just what he did; that was his skill. Kaniki had learnt from his poor brother's mistakes: this was the older-sibling who he had loved, who he had respected, and who was killed by his own traitorous pack.
The chocolate-coloured brute turned his great head, opening his silky grey maw to bark for the others in his company. It was an authorative bark, laced with power, but it also had subtle hints of respect. For although he may not show it to the other five wolves in the 'pack', he had respect for each and every one of them, in his own way. Perhaps this was why he'd survived as a leader so far, and his brother hadn't. Shaking thoughts of Zephyr's mangled corpse from his mind, he sat down, relaxing his dark shoulders into a comfortable position. He sat and waited for the others to join him; a discussion was needed.

ooc // Does Jut go second because she's beta?
A clear, authoritative bark rang out through the Mountains. It seemed to reverberate off of the tallest peak and dance on the wind before it faded into silence. The female was in her element. All six of the pack were here. This is where she was meant to be. She tossed her head in joy, singing a sweet melody into the clear, blue sky. Her silky golden fur caught the sun's rays and shone like a new coin, each individual hair dancing with her every step. She trotted slowly behind her alpha, keeping pace with him.
Crystal blue eyes seemed to be glued to his handsome being, though whenever he looked back, she'd look away as if uninterested. In truth, Kinaki made her heart flutter like a butterfly in spring. But he could never find out. She would not be rejected. Shaking off these thoughts, she stopped a ways away from Kinaki, giving him his space. She sat back slowly, her lengthy golden tail wagging on the ground, scattering loose dust over the sunshine-hued hairs.

ooc| I guess it doesn't matter, but I suppose she does. -shrug-
Bic| A female followed after him quickly, as if she was slightly hyper, and did her best not to run ahead of her 'Alpha' and 'beta'. It was by instinct now, but Demi was quite proud of her friend. He managed to keep all of them together, even the smart one and stupid one. The female glanced at him and Jut-butt with deep red eyes, and then she looked the others. Demi let out a soft, inaudible sigh before looking back ahead. This was a new place to her, but she told herself she had seen better. Demi's expression changed from curiosity to boredom very quickly, and she looked over at the cliffs. Fog? Random. Snorting, Demi looked back ahead.
"You want us to be found so early, Jutty?" she teased, smirking at the Beta's nickname Demi gave her. Of course, Demi did respect Juturna, she had courage and wasn't selfish like Demi herself was. But Demi could admit that easily. She stayed quiet after that though, glancing at Juturna to see her reaction.
Demi remembered back then. It must be hard for Kinaki, but he seemed to be a better leader than his brother. Much better. When she heard his bark, she was snapped out of her thoughts and the female looked at him, and Demi couldn't help but smile softly. They were friends, after all, and she caught the hint of respect easily. Demi glanced at the others again before sitting down on Kinaki's left side, but a respectful length away. What was going to happen now?

Keanu followed his leader, his beautiful brown pelt rippling in the wind. His coal-black maw twitched into a smile, as he padded behind Kaniki. He ebony auds flickered delicately, listening to the Beta's song. He raised his own muzzle, and released a deep, yet melodic song to the mountains. His big brown eyes searched for the female, but his orbs flickered back to his leader when he barked.
He padded closer, and dipped his head to Kaniki, his pelt flickered gently in the breeze. 'Kaniki...' he greeted his leader, in a humble voice. He turned his head to search for the female again, his eyes glittering happily.
His gaze flickered to Demi, and he smiled teasingly, 'Now, now, toots-' he began, a cheeky smirk on his face, '-That anyway to talk to a beta?' he dragged the word Beta out, and looked at Juturna.

ooc; Jut can go wherever she likes, Maybe. There's no particular order, I just figured that since I was starting, and Kinaki was leader, he should probably be at the head of the party for now. Doesn't really matter though (: I'll reply to this once Kaneko has as well, and possibly whoever takes Strength as well, to be fair.

Jut snorted roughly, and laughed at her friend, Demi. "Yes. The whole valley should know of us." She smiled over at Keanu as he padded over as well, giving him a curt nod in greeting. She wagged her tail, inching closer to Demi to give her a playful nip on the shoulder. "Plus. I have a wonderful singing voice, don't you agree, Keanu?" He swung her head dramatically over to the male and grinned hysterically, her ears flicking back and forth in order to catch any sound that may come by.

The golden female moved slowly through the forest, pausing here and there to sniff at a small bush or random plant. Her ears swiveled back when she heard the howls and woofs of her companions and she sighed softly as she pulled herself away from what she'd been doing and headed off to find her 'pack-mates'.
Tomoko knew that she was smart enough to lead them herself, but she also knew that if she ever did try and take over, she'd quickly be knocked down by the alpha's supporters. But those thoughts rarely crossed her mind. She respected Kinaki and wasn't about to lead a mutiny attempt any time soon. A small smile graced her muzzle as she finally came across the small group she'd been traveling with and it was then that she realized just how far she'd wandered off. It didn't really matter though, so long as she found her way back.
"Kinaki, Jut, Demi, Keanu," she greeted them each by name and with a little bow of her head. She lay down about a fox length from all of the other wolves and looked around, memorizing the landscape for future reference.

Demi rolled her eyes at Keanu, ignoring him, and smiled as Jut nipped at her shoulder, and she moved her leg away on instinct, but it wasn't roughly and she relaxed again. "Surely we should make a more impressive introduction, so we're noticed." Demi grinned at the beta, before looking round when she heard their names being said.
Demi recognised the voice to be Tomoko's, and her grin returned before nodding back. It seemed almost all of them were here, apart from that idiot. Probably wandered off again and got lost or something. Demi looked at them all in turn before looking at Kinaki, wondering why they stopped. Was there something important to discuss? Surely they could just come in, cause some havoc and have fun?
She thought that plan over, no, that wouldn't do. Not with Kinaki. She looked at Keanu once more, wondering what his reply would be to Jut's question about her having a beautiful voice. There was a high chance he'd agree.

Tafari loped through the bushes, pausing after Tomoko to sniff a similar bush, looking up to see where she went. She lead him subconsciously to their group, their little family, and he smiled slightly as he greeted them.
He didn't need to, or want to, say anything in particular. He sat down comfortably, listening to the conversation, not taking part as usual. He glanced over at Kinaki as if awaiting some sort of guidance. What were they doing in this mysterious lockdown valley? Caught between two packs?
He pondered these thoughts, but once again stayed silent. He simply looked back and forth between these five other wolves, with his expressionless features and inquisitive eyes.

Kinaki gave a short nod to Jut, Demi, Keanu, Koko and Tafari in turn as they arrived shortly after he'd sat down. The large, dark brute stared ahead, not noticing Juturna's surrepticious glances towards him, as he waited for the others to stop talking. Even though he looked as if he was merely staring into thin air, he was actually training his other senses into the surroundings. While theo ther wolves might be more easy going, as a leader he had a responsibility. And that responsibility was to watch out for the ones who placed their trust in him, and find what was best for them.
"Right girls and boys, shut yer traps," He finally said loudly, a sardonic undertone to his rugged voice. "I'm not just sitting here because my backside is aching, you know." He stood up, slowly stretching his lithe, dark body, before starting to pace in a large, circle around all the others. He'd had a rough idea of what they were going to do, but he needed some input from various packmembers, as usual.
"Jut, as lovely as your 'singing voice' is, we are here to discuss other matters. I'm sure you all noticed, that there happens to be two large, rival packs in the area." He gave a brief smile to Jut, and then glanced round to Demi at this point. "Exactly Demi. Which is why Tomoko, we need another of your plans. And i'm sure, as usual, Keanu's charms and Tafari's strength will be necessary."
After his concise explaination, Kinaki nimbly leapt up onto a small boulder which had obviously fallen in an avalanche from the great, looming mountains above them at one point. Standing tall with his tail held up like a banner, he madea fairly impressive silhouette against the sun. "We are going to enter one of these packs, my friends, and cause a little bit of mayhem." He smirked then, after his mischevious announcement, revealing glistening canines.

Keanu chuckled to himself, 'Mayhem, eh?' he liked the sound of that. He looked around at Demi, then Tomoko, Tafari and eventually Kinaki again. He grinned, watching the leader carefully. He knew they each had a skill, and they always used it to their advantage, but he wondered what Kinaki's skill was...Eveeryone seemed to out do him in everything they did, and he didn't seem to excel in anything except being a leader... Perhaps that was it, maybe his skill was the ability to keep the rabble of different wolves together.
He sighed, since his mother and father were killed, they were the only family he had...He would do anything for them. It felt like they were all so close that they had always ben there, and it was unbareable to think of being without them...
He glanced at Tomoko, waiting for her cunning plan, as usual, he would follow.

"Mayhem, eh?" she 'purred' at the same time as Keanu, which slightly scared her. She shook her head slightly and smiled with amusement. This was her favorite part of life, being able to come up with good plans and help out her makeshift pack. "Okay, first off, can any of you tell which one we're closer to? It would be wise to try and get in with them first and save us time so we wouldn't have to travel as far," she began thinking a little harder.
A million plans whizzed through her brilliant mind, but she couldn't decide on which one was the best, so she picked one at random, her favorite one. "Well, for this plan, we'd definitely need Keanu and his unique...ah...skill," she said, brushing her tail at him playfully. "We could have Keaunu charm the alpha female and she could convince her mate to allow us into the pack. And from there, just cause trouble and try to take down the pack from the inside." She said and blinked as if something didn't make sense to her.
"It's a sort of make-it-up-as-you-go-along type of plan, but it would still work if you did it right. Keep in mind, though, that if we go with that plan, it wouldn't be wise to make friends in the pack." She cast a "That's-right-I'm-talking-to-you" glance to Keanu before continuing. "It would put the whole plan in jeopardy, because you can't very well sabotage wolves you care for," she said, trying to choose her words carefully so that the other five would be able to understand it.

Jut watched as a flurry of commotion and speaking began to commence around her, but her eyes just refused to leave Kinaki. She caught his smile, and her heart skipped a beat, but as the other wolves began to speak, she snapped back to reality, looking to each one of them as they made their comments respectively. Then, she had an idea.
"There's another thing, guys." She smiled wryly, her devious mind coming into play, which was a gift to be heeded, for when it did, the result was usually quite good. For them. "We don't want the alphas to know we are a pack. We must join individually. I, using my obvious skill in acting, will feign an injury and use that to be accepted into their pack. Koko, you will come with me, pretending to be my sister, and you will have to ask for a place to stay until I heal." She grinned maliciously, eyeing each one of her comrades.
"You all come up with your own plans, but at night, after all the ickle wolfies are tucked up in their warm, cozy dens, we shall rendezvous. That is when we can do our planning, when the great sun sleeps." Jut looked exceedingly proud of her sudden surge of brainpower. She was usually the one who was a bit quiet, the wallflower, tending to everyone's wounds and keeping them all well, sort of like a matriarch would do. She'd listen to their problems and devote her time to helping them sort out what ever was bothering them. But every so often, her brain decided to go a bit mental, and devious, cunning plots were usually the result of such an instance.

Tomoko nodded, s mile slowly appearing on her face. "That would make sense," she mused. "Though not all of us can join in pairs, they might catch on and throw us out." she said. They might get away with two pairs and they might have to if Tafari couldn't figure out how to get in himself. The other two would have to be on their own.
Koko nodded slowly and something else popped up in her mind. "If something urgent comes up in the day though, one can howl for a single of the others and the other four of us can pretend to go off hunting or patrolling or whatnot.
We'd need a set place to meet," she turned to Kinaki, her green eyes flashing slightly in the sunlight. "Jut and I can scout out before you all join and report back. If the pack isn't what we expect, then we may want to head over to the other one," she said thoughtfully. She didn't think it was very likely, but till better safe than sorry.

Demi smirked rather proudly when Kinaki said she had a good idea, but after that she was silent, listening intently to what they had to say. At the idea of going in pairs, her ears twitched forward and she glanced at Tafari before looking at the others. "I like the idea." she admitted, giving a smile to Jut and Tomoko. This is why they were Beta and the plan-maker, and she wasn't, Demi knew that very well. She pawed at the ground, feeling almost unneeded but quickly shoved that feeling to the back of her mind and she looked round at the group, waiting for any suggestions, objections or agreements.
Demi thought for a moment, red eyes glazing over. She would think for herself, she wanted to. A plan, a plan... Could she do it alone? Could she think of a good reason, or should she just ask to join and pretend she had no terrible reason to? No, of course not. Demi wanted to leave a mark in the Alpha's mind, so she should think up a story, a marvellous, awe inspiring story so they would remember. Surely that would be impressive.
Brought back to the real world by a strange feeling, Demi moved her paw to bat away a fly that was resting on it. Demi looked up at the others, still waiting for one of them to speak. So far, she liked the idea.
