As Tala wandered quickly through No Man's Land she felt herself getting more and more nervous with each stride she took. She was concentrated on her thoughts now, hardly focusing on where she was going. She'd practially run into Dancing Stars before she finally stopped, the scent of their Alpha's pungent in her nares. She breathed out fiercly, hardly able to take the stench.
Dachian and her had had no closure. Just a brief, "You're not who I thought you were" from Dachian and that was that. That's when she'd found him by the lake with Iris. She swallowed and began to make large circles in the mountains, holding off on the howl she'd soon make to her former mate. But the thought that holding it off would just make it harder in the end forced her maw into the air and allowing a howl to slip out. It was brief, but enough, enough to get him here so they could end this for real.
And then she wouldn't have to think about him. He'd become a simple fragment of her past. Nothing more than a memory.

Dachian raced through no-mans land towards Tala, his brown, coal and ivory coat whistled through tree's. His mind raced, he couldn't wait to see Tala! He burst from the tree's and raced around the mountain base towards Tala's howl.
'Tala!' he exclaimed happily, skidding to a halt, his tongue lolling out the side of his mouth. His was about to lick her on the cheek, when he realised they probably were'nt friends. His whole face saddened at the thought of not being friends with Tala...
'Hi...'

Tala studied him closely, her eyes narrowing. From the look on his face, she could catch no signs of sadness. Was he not upset at all about their relationship ending? This just made her angrier and her expression became colder. If he thought she was just going to forget about this whole thing and act like nothing had happened he was seriously mistaken. He was probably living it up out here with as many females as he could get his paws on. Did he even care that inside she was breaking? "Dachian," she said coolly. It was more of an acknowledgement that he was here, instead of a greeting.
She pushed herself to her feet and began to circle him, once, twice. And then she stopped. "So, how's No Man's Land?" she asked, deciding to start it out casual and then she'd get to the good stuff. "Enough females for you?" she questioned, tipping her head to the side in a mocking quizzzical manner. She thought back to how all of this had begun. With her and Vixen. And he'd wanted her to stop, and she had. Then she'd wanted to leave and Dachian refused. There were so many things she didn't get about him. Why had he done it? Why had he broken her heart?

Dachian's shoulder's sagged, and he looked at the floor. Sure, he regretted leaving falling moon now, but it was for the best, wasn't it? He kept teling himself it was for Tala's own good, but the more he thought about it, the more he realised it was because he was still being selfish. He was so confused at the moment, he hadn't seen Iris for ages, and he knew he still had a lot of feelings for Tala, but then there was Iris and...
Urgh...He wished it were simple, he wished he hadn't left Tala, then it woulf of been much easier, but now it wasn't now he had to find a way of saying sorry that didn't sound stupid of cheesy.
Tala...I'm so sorry for what I did...No, that sounded stupid. Tala, you know I love you, but...Urgh! Too much cheese! he sighed, and looked up at Tala.
'I...I know what I did now was because I was being selfish, I know that I was stupid and...And wrong to leave you, I need you to know it wasn't your fault in the slightest, it wasn't because you showed your bad side, it was because I wanted you to find someone you clicked with, someone that you trusted, and someone who was better for you than I was...'
Damn, that was some real cheese...

She sighed, letting her expression soften as he spoke, the sound of his voice so familiar and comforting..But not hers. Not anymore. "I guess what we had was only puppy love," she commented with a shrug. But, to her, it had felt like so much more. She was beginning to think there was more than just one, or two types of love. And the one she'd with Dachian was nice but it wasn't the one. She was beginning to realize that now and finally felt as if she could finally begin to move on. "You weren't wrong to leave me. You did what was best for both of us."
She stared at the ground. "I want you to be happy Dach." She was feeling a bit nervous about telling him the next part. Part of her just wanted to do. "I'm leaving the Valley. I thought you should know," she said with a modest shrug as if it were no big deal. To her it wasn't. She'd been planning on doing this for a while now. It would help her, clear her head, and just maybe she'd find someone out there. Someone that would make her life worth living. "I'll probably come back after a while," she commented. "Just don't tell anyone. Keep it to yourself. And if anyone asks anything, just tell them I'm okay."
She wasn't planning on leaving just yet. She wanted to talk to Dachian for a while longer, but she knew she'd have to leave soon or else she'd back out of this whole. "Tell Zaal I'll miss him, too."

He nodded slowly, feeling sad what he had with Tala could only be described as 'puppy love' his eyes swelled with tears. To Dachian it was much more, he loved Tala, even if he didn't show it. He still loved her right now, and it broke his heart to hear her voice again. He kept his nerve, though, he swallowed the tears and didn't let them run. He sighed, listening to her voice.
His ears stiffened and he stared at her when she said she was leaving. His mouth gaped open and more tears glittered in his eyes, 'But you can't leave, Tala!' I love you... he didn't voice the last part, but he was thinking it very hard. Tala couldn't leave! She just couldn't!
'Whats so special about Zaal?' he said quietly, almost jealously.

She ignored his pleading, as she felt no need to talk about it. "We're just friends," she said quickly a bit of annoyance in her voice, but hoping it would bring some sort of comfort to Dachian. She hoped Dachian woud lay off the subject of leaving. It's what she'd decided to do and when she put her heart to something she would do it, no matter what.
"So, what's going on with you and Iris?" she questioned, sitting down and feeling a bit more relaxed now that they had talked about what happened between them. Things were turning out find and would be even better when she left. Iris could be Dachian and they could live happily ever after. OoC:// Sorry, used all my muse on the Atreus thread. : /
