Things were moving along smoothly. So far, he hadn't run into any suspicions or difficult obstacles. He tried not to let himself get too cocky, but it seemed as if these wolves were so naive. He'd picked good timing. They didn't think anything was coming and they were too wrapped up in the pups that they didn't notice him. Shaking his head, he let a smirk slip onto his maw and he felt a sense of achievement. What could possibly go wrong? And if something did, it'd probably be too late for them to change anything, and he'd be gone by the time they realized that he was turning them against each other. He'd be moving onto the next pack to terrorize.
Sighing, his expression softened more so. He was getting used to doing this, it was almost instinctive. He pushed himself to his feet and began walking through the Dark Forest eager to take on his next victim.

Sapphire padded around almost in a circle as she weaved around trees. She was a loner now, and nothing could change that at the moment. Sapphire sighed, wishing she had a mate, and possibly even a mate, but that wasn't on her mind right now because all she was thinking about was her family. Especially Toboe. She didn't know what was going on now with the two, because Sapphire didn't know if Toboe would choose to sacrifice his life, and come to live with her as a loner right now, or not. Sapphire looked up, seeing a rather handsome brute. "Hey. What are you doing out here, all alone? Bored, like I am?" Sapphire asked, her eyes twinkling as she smiled at Atreus.

Atreus looked at Sapphire with smiling eyes but he wasn't in the mood to force one over his lips. But reluctantly, he decided to. He had to perform well for his victims or else nothing would fall into place. "Yes, very bored," he commented, nodding his head in answer to her question and adding a sigh for dramatic effect. "It's funny, because I just got here. You'd think there'd be plenty of exploring to do, but I believe I've done it all," he informed her, attempting to start some conversation. But, oh, he hadn't done all of his exploring. There were still more males to see, more females to be discovered.
"Oh, sorry, I think I've been rude. I'm Atreus, by the way," he told her with a small dip of his head and an apologetic smile. He decided to be quiet now, let her brain comprehend his words and then think of a reply. He had to stay quiet at times. It added to his mysterious effect which always seemed to charm the females for, God knows why. It would just annoy him if he were in their place.

"Oh, it's okay. Nice to meet you, Atreus. The name's Sapphire. As you can see, I'm a loner now. And yeah, back in our old lands, when it had been full of lush, it was a lot more funner. And that was when I was a pup too. Anyways, in our new lands, it's just plain dead. Period. Nothing else to really say about it." Sapphire said, her eyes twinkling as she smiled back at Atreus. He was pretty nice, and cute. Who knew? He could possibly become her mate.

She was a talkative one. He nodded his head to show that he'd understood. "You must have been a Dancing Star then. Yeah, I heard about the Falling Moons taking over your lands," he said matter-of-factly. There was no compassion in his voice for he didn't quite know much about it, and he hadn't been there when it happened...And because the word 'compassion' just didn't exist in his dictionary. "But I guess they had to do what they had to do to survive," he added with a shrug. Now, as he thought about it, most of his victims were loners...What was the point of joining Falling Moon when he'd spend most of his time here, anyway? He shrugged mentally. He was just beginning and would eventually work his way to the Falling Moon wolves.
"So what do you think of the solitary life?" he asked, wondering if she enjoyed being a lone. But then there was that whole concept of how these loners couldn't actually be considered loners for there were plenty of other loners and wolves coming in from both ends, Falling Moon and Dancing Stars. So they were never really alone. Yeah, he'd been through that already with one of the females. Hmm..He didn't even remember their name.

"Solitary life? Oh, right. Well, it's okay out here. I mean, I didn't really decide to come out here. I ran away from my parents, and this one wolf named Onisim. I had really liked him, but I'm not sure his feelings are the same to me. Plus, I said I hate my parents, which I don't now, so my father, Frosty, I believe hates me. My brother, Toboe tried bringing me back, and he said he would live with her as a loner if I kept living as one, but I don't know if I will. Sorry for all that. I just wanted to explain everything. Any questions?" Sapphire said, smiling as her eyes gazed deep into Atreus's. Why was she being so talkative with this wolf? She never really was much of a talker. Usually, she would only fight, not really talk.

Atreus nodded his head every once in a while to show that he was listening, which he was. He wasn't actually interested in his story, but it was something he'd need to know if his plan for this female would ever succeed. He laughed when she finished and then narrowed as his eyes as if thinking of a question he may have stored somewhere in his brain. And then he shook his head. "No, I think you covered everything," he said with a smirk. "Are you always this talkative?" he asked, cocking his head to the side in amusement, and hoping it wouldn't offend her. Females always seemed to worry if they talked too much, and then took offense by it when asked a question along those lines. "Oh, wait, I do have a question," he said suddenly, putting his other question on hold. "Why exactly did you run away from your parents?" he asked, wondering how old this female was to have to actually run away instead of just leave.
He played over what she'd said in his head, and his mind lingered over the name Onisim. It took a few moments to realize who it was. Anevay and Duke's son. He furrowed his brows, and ear tipped back in a quizzical manner. "So, if you know Onisim then you used to live in Falling Moon, correct?" he asked, acting as though he were interested in her life story.

"No, I'm not usually this talkative. Usually, I'm not one to be that social. I'm a rather big independant wolf. What made me leave? Well, my parents kept acting like I was a little baby, and were treating me unfairly a lot, so I just couldn't take it. And wrong, I used to live in Dancing Stars. I had met Onisim one time at a river. It was me and my brother, Takumi. We had gotten into a fight with him, and he had started to flirt with me. So I flirted back, and I thought that he liked me the same way I liked him. Well, turns out I don't think he does. The other day, when I ran away, he said I was just some fea he had met crossed paths with." Sapphire said, sighing as she narrowed her eyes at the thought of Onisim.

Atreus' eyes widened. "Wow, what an inconsiderate jerk," he said sharply but sincerely. "Apparently, he has no manners. I guess it makes sense that he's in Falling Moon," he commented peering off. Another heartbroken female. She was probably on the verge of giving up on males. And he knew she'd be a difficult one but he was up for the challenge. "Don't worry about him. He doesn't deserve someone like you anyway," he said casually, peering at his paws and then bringing a hind one to his ear to scratch.

"What do you mean like me?" Sapphire questioned, cocking her head to the side in confusement. What did he mean? Was Atreus saying that Sapphire was too good for Onisim? Nah, males would probably only say that if they liked the fea. Wait, what if he did like her? Did that mean something? God, so many questions, and so little time right now. That was always her problem. She had so many questions, but barely had any time to answer them, sadly enough.

Atreus shrugged, pretending to be embarassed. "I don't know. Cute, sweet, I guess," he murmured with a small smile, looking down at the ground and then up at her. "I meant it in a good way," he added so she wouldn't feel offended in anyway. If his plan worked, she'd fall into this trap making her think that he liked her. Then somehow, he'd reveal that he didn't her heart would be broken and he'd be filled with immense pleasure.

Sapphire shrugged. "Yeah, I know you meant it in a good way. And I guess so." Sapphire said, perplexed. What did Atreus mean? Did he really like her, or did was he just messing with her, and trying to just get her all wound up for nothing? Sapphire had no clue, so she didn't know what was going on now. Sapphire sighed, she had no clue what to do right now.

Atreus laughed heartily. "I think that's when you say thank you," he said with a humored smile to say it was all harmless joking. He didn't want to offend her by laughing at her. Females were like that, always overreacting at the silliest things, and though he wasn't sure if Sapphire would overreact with his laughing, he still figured he should put on a good natured smile. And she was cute. Well, to probably many males eyes. Atreus found it hard to find anything cute these days.
"You look confused," he commented with furrowed brows and a curious expression of his own. "Is something bothering you?" he asked quizzically, eager to know what she was thinking for it would help get inside her head, so he could think of the right things to say to make her feel at ease and even start to fancy Atreus in a way more than friends. "Huh? Oh, nothing's wrong. And thank you." Sapphire said, shrugging as she smiled at Atreus. She didn't show her confusion anymore. Only in her thoughts. Sapphire didn't know if Atreus thought she was cute, or what. Sapphire still wanted a mate, and pups. But first, she just needed to find a mate first of all. And then maybe she would be accepted back into the Dancing Stars pack, or something. Was Atreus the right male for her, or not? Only time and fate could tell.

Atreus was beginning to realize that Sapphire would be easy to win over. He'd dealt with females long enough to interpret their facial expressions into what was going in their heads. He planned on asking her to be his mate, and then somehow or other he'd break her heart leaving her in misery. But he'd have to wait for that. If he asked too soon she may begin to suspect and he couldn't risk that. They'd have to talk, get to know eachother for a while longer and then he'd drop his best moves on her and hopefully she wouldn't be able to refuse. Oh, he couldn't wait and suddenly he was eager to get the conversation going.
"I'm sure you have a mate, right?" he asked, tipping an ear back in a quizzical manner. Truthfully, he hated this part. It was painstaking work that he wish he didn't have to do, but it was necissity if he wanted his plan to succeed. He sat, his tail swishing across the ground and thumping a few times before laying absolutely still.
