The air was still, quiet. The only movement was the gentle and silent grazing of a lone moose and her young. The mother seemed to be rather youthful herself. Perfect.
Loch knew from experience that a first-time moose mother would be inexperienced and would panic in the event of an attack. He grinned. He'd be feeding well tonight. He surveyed the sun's position in the great sky, which was stained orange by the sun's warm rays. Darkness would soon be upon them, and Loch had neglected the hollowness in his stomach for a few days. All he could think about was Eyelle and how she'd so cruelly turned him down. He grimaced, and dropped to the ground silently.
Crouching, he inched forward, his bulky mass ubscured by the dense undergrowth in which he hid. He stepped so carefully that he made no sound as he crept forward, intent upon where he would land his first blow. In one fell swoop, he lunged free from his hiding place and was on the calf, swiping with his lethal claws. He had managed to wrestle her to the ground as her terrifyed and inexperienced dam sped off, unsure of what to do. Loch landed the killing blow with one clamp of his deadly jaws by tearing the calf's esophagus, the breathing tube located in her neck. As the prey took its last gasping breath, she fell limp in Lochnivar's jaws. He grinned through his mouthfull of brown, furry moose.
The mighty hunter prevails.

A sleek figure moved, drawn towards the scent of blood. Jowls were opened slightly, and drool dripped out slowly as the figure moved. She was hidden in the shadows, and her white underbelly flashed when the light hit. Emerald pools searched, looking for the meal desperately. She hadn't eaten in weeks, and starvation was kicking in. Her heart, a dark black hole, wouldn't sustain her for long. She needed food, by any means necessary.
The fae stopped, spotting the meal just ahead. But her nose filled with the scent of another, the scent of a male. A low growl was emitted as she watched, seeing the limp calf and the gray wolf. Eyes were narrowed as Daishan realized this wasn't going to just be an easy steal.
She laid low, inching ever closer to the male. She had to buy her time, and think of what to do before leaping in. Her stomach growled fiercely, and she prayed it would stop. She grew ever more hungry, and her tongue fell out of her mouth as she eyed the precious carcass, its blood filling her nostrils and overwhelming her senses.

Kaira walked silently through the brush. She sniffed the air. Someone had just caught something. It smelled like moose. Young moose. She sped through the bushes. Twings and leaves stuck on her fur.
She stopped short. Kaira had never met this wolf before. He was good looking. Kaira walked out of the bush. "Hey, who is this?" she sid, nodding to him. "I'm Kaira." she added. Her stomach growled. Kaira blushed embaresedly.

Wheya's ears flickered. She raised her muzzle and scented a wolf near the base of the solitary mountains. He wasn't far away, because she was at the edge of the shadowy forest. She sighed heavily, looking up at the setting sun. She knew it should be pretty, but it was freezing right now!
She padded towards the new wolf, and arrived just in time to se ehim wrestle a moose to the floor. Personally, she'd never tried moose, but from what she'd heard as a pup, it didn't taste nice.
She padded towards him, but she stopped a short distance away, knowing it was rude to intrude when a wolf was eating. She smiled warmly, and waited for him to say something.

Loch tore into the carcass, the scent of carrion filing his nostrils as he fed. He heard the sound of a voice, but continued voraciously to feed. He was starving, and would stop at nothing to sate his ravenous hunger.
Once he had eaten his fill, which didn't take long, he looked up to find himself face to face with a pretty young fae, another bonny female standing a ways behind her. The first one was a light chocolate color with darker accents along her face and body. Loch smiled, embarassed by his lack of manners. "Oh, hello. Sorry, I, uh...was hungry. Haven't eaten in days." He licked his lips clean of the crimson liquid that stained them. "I'm uh..." He ran his tongue over his muzzle again, looking to the second fae. He smiled and nodded at her in greeting.
"Loch," He tilted his head. "--nivar." Grinning, he sat down, tail wagging, though he was weary of these wolves. They might be trying to steal his din dins. No one stealed Loch's din dins. Ever. "Nice to meet you Kaira. Where do you come from?" He, himself, was a Dancing Stars wolf, faithful to Caerwyn and Midnight, and he'd do anything to protect his pack; but if this female was nice, and was interested in joining a pack, he'd be glad to help. Still, he was cautious, and kept his amber gaze locked on her intently, studying her expressions and body language. Since the other fae had not spoken as of yet, he lifted his head and looked at her. She was pretty, but he didn't let himself faulter. Not when food was in the picture.
"And who are you?"

Kaira watched him stuff his face. Males, no manners. she thought. She grinned foolishly. The dark clouds parted overhead, tomreveal brilliant sunlight. It soaked into her dark pelt well. Spring, the best season.she thought. I wonder if Loch has a mate. She smiled again, sun blaring off her teeth.
"Nice to meet you Loch. Thats my sister Wheya. We're both loners." she answered all of his questions. "Your obviosly a Dancing Star, You smell of them."

Body was tensed and fur raised as Daishan's green eyes took in not only this male Lochnivar but the two faes that had appeared as well. She listened intently to their conversation, hearing something about stars and the brown fae, Kaira she had called herself, mention these faes were loners. Like herself. She gave a smirk, they wouldn't be missed then, if the food happened to be fought over.
She still shimmied her way closer to the group, trying to analyze the situation and find a way to get the meal without too much fuss. She saw no solution, for she knew that this male-handsome and kind looking as he was-most likely wouldn't just let her take it. Her stomach growled louder, and she could feel her blood boiling.
She hated the fact that all these wolves were around, and it would be hard to get her paws on the meal. She just didn't like being around others, faes especially. She knew it was spring, but she also knew how members of her gender thought. Their heads would be filled with thoughts of pups and males, and starting families and loving each other. She spat at the idea. What obsurdity it was; it sickened her to her very stomach when she thought of it. In disgust, she watched the trio, silent and deadly.

Wheya's eyes flickered with annoyance. She narrowed her eyes slightly, and gritted her teeth lightly. She didn't need her big sister to answer for her, 'I can speak you know.' she said, looking at her sister with piercing eyes. She looked at the other fae, and tensed slightly, she looked like she ment trouble.
She looked back at Loch, 'I'm, Wheya.' she said, ignoring what her sister said. She waited for some sort of response from one of the wolves.
