The brown and white wolf paced around in the mist, squinting to try and see and looking rather annoyed. He knew that his brother could be anywhere in the vast loner territory and it was starting to make him angry that the mist was blocking his vision. It seemed so thick that you could just push it aside with your snout and be able to see, but, obviously, it wasn't.
Zaal's rump hit the ground with a muffled thump and he tossed back his head, letting out a howl that would hopefully call his brother to him.
Yo, Dachian! It's Zaal and there's something you might want to know.
Dachian might be out of hearing range or the mist might muffle it to much, but he didn't care much.

Dachian's auds swivelled gently at his brother's calling. A grin spread onto his maw, as he bounded through the mist gracefully. He'd been a loner for a while now, and he knew the mists like the back of his paw. He always came here to think, and he knew the dangerous places, and the not-so-dangerous places of no-mans land.
He slowed to a walk as he smelt that he was getting closer to his brother, his paws hit the ground almost silently, as he gazed through the mist at the dim outlin of his brother. 'Hello, brother.' he said softly.

Zaal turned to face Dachian when he heard his brother speak. "Hello," he said, greeting him with a wag of the tail. "So how's life in No Man's Land," he asked. He had decided to make some small talk before actually getting to the important news that he had.
After all, it seemed kind of unfair to just say 'Oh hey, brother, I'm leaving the valley for who knows how long' and then skip off into the mist. Zaal gave a soft snort. He knew that he wouldn't enjoy that if he was in Dach's position.

Dachian's mind momentarily wondered to Iris, he thought about how beautiful she was, and how he loved hearing her laugh. He thought about how she made his heart skip a beat, and how she made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside. He heaved a soft sigh, a small smile on his face. He suddenly realised that his brother was talking.
'Fine.' he said bluntly, knowing his brother well enough to knoe hw hadn't just come to ask him about his life. He sat down, watching his brother intently. 'What do you want?'

Zaal smiled slightly before resuming a serious expression. "I'm leaving the valley for a while," he said, glancing up at Dachian before continuing. "I figured you might want to know, so I came to tell you." He left out the part about him leaving with Tala because he felt it wasn't relevant. He didn't know that Tala had already come to tell Dachian she was leaving.
Sure he'd say who he was leaving with should his brother ask, but as far as Zaal was concerned, it was just unneeded information. And he wasn't sure if Dach still had feelings for Tala and he wasn't to keen on bringing up such a thing since he was with Iris now. His medium brown eyes watched Dachian carefully for any reaction as the mist swirled slowly around the brothers.

Dachian snorted and glared at the ground defiantly. He was bubbling with anger inside, he knew he was going wth Tala, because Tala had mentioned both her going away and Zaal when they met recently. He snorted again, 'What a coincidence,' he muttered, and looked up at his brother, eyes ablaze.
'Good riddence!' he growled, and pushed his way past his brother. Tears welled up in his eyes. He didn't want his brother to go, but he couldn't beliave him. He felt so betrayed, he still loved Tala, he was he ex-mate! How could he leave with her? He shook his head angrily, and bolted off.
'Good riddence,' he repeated quietly to himself.

Zaal's eyes narrowed slightly and he stood up and trotted quickly after his brother. "What?" he growled, circling around him in an attempt to cut him off. "What?" he repeated, trying to catch Dachian's eye. "If you have a problem let's hear it," he said, sounding a bit annoyed. The last he'd heard, Tala and Dachian had broken up, so why with the sudden fit?
He could see the anger in his brother's eyes, but he couldn't imagine why. Well he could, but it didn't fit with the stories he'd been told. He groaned mentally. Why did life have to be so confusing like this? It couldn't be simple and easy to understand all the time. But then again, if it was then that would just be boring. I can live with boring as long as I always know what's going on, Zaal thought, still looking at his brother.

Dachian snorted once again, growled at his brother, 'Move!' he said, shoving past his brother once more and storming off. His shoulders were hunched, and anger burned in his eyes, he ha to get away from his brother, otherwis he would probably attack him. He was getting away because the small voice of reason in his head didn't wnt to hurt Zaal, but Dachian was so cross he couldn't listen. He through his wegith into each step, and soon his strides turned into a run.
And he ran away, as far away from Zaal as he could.

Zaal growled as he was shoved aside and he glared after his brother. "Normally when you have a problem with someone, you tell them!" he shouted after him and sat down, trying to calm himself down. He was angry enough to go after Dachian and try to start a fight, but he was close. He was frustrated with his brother and he knew he probably wouldn't see him again before he left and so this would be on his mind and bothering him for a while.
Zaal howled a single, short and harsh note to relieve some of his stress before standing up and looking after Dachian. He was tempted to go after him, but just wasn't sure where he should go now. He couldn't decide if he should go find Tala to see if she was ready to leave or go and try to work things out with his brother. He just stood there, frustrated with himself as he tried to decide where to go now.
