Roger decided he was finished talking about pasts. Maybe even finished talking. He laid down and looked out through the rain, a droplet of clear water falling on his nose every once in a while. It didn't bother him. Stuff like that didn't bother him anymore.
Roger turned his head to look at Myu, who was laying beside him. He turned his head back, just in time to see a wall of water coming down off the peaks, that would surley drench them and maybe drown them. "Look!" he shouted as he jumped up. His fur standing on end as he proded Myu with one push, getting her up. She would drown if she stayed laying down.
Why do I care?

Myu was tempted to just fall asleep. Their conversation was over, she was lying down comfortably, saving the fact that her back was freezing and drenched, and her eyes were half closed. Roger's shout and nudge woke her up immediately and she bared her teeth, forced to stand up and she could now see the flood of water coming down towards them. Myu knew that Roger was just helping her, and she quickly made her get-away, running a few feet away from the flow of water.
There couldn't be enough to take her away from this far, could there? She stopped, already drenched from the rain, and she looked round to see if Roger was still with her. She thought it all over, and then it clicked. He helped her… Why? Why did he even care, surely he should've just ran away and let her figure it out on her own? Snorting, Myu narrowed her eyes, confused.

Roger ran to where Myu was, just as the water landed wih a SQWUIASH right where he was standing only moments before. He looked at Myu, then back at the rushing water. More and more water fell, they had to get farther away. But he couldn't leave Myu behind for some reason. This had never happened to him before since puphood. He cared for Myu. Why? He had no idea.
"We have to get away from here!" he shouted over the sounds of rushing water. He was coated in mud and silt. But there was no time to bathe. He lept from different rocks to a dryer place, waiting for Myu for some reason. Maybe it was the amont they had in common, or the way she understood. All he knew is he had a friend. The first one he had had in a very long time.

Myu opened her mouth to question him, but he yelled something about getting away. Knowing it was best not to ask questions in a moment of crisis, she nodded and followed Roger, leaping onto the dry rocks after him. Watching the water flow to where they were just standing, Myu was thankful she even met Roger. Looking at him, Myu frowned, the water reaching half way to the rock they were on. It had to stop some time.
"Why did you help me? A wolf like you should've just left me there!" she demanded over the sound of rushing water. It wasn't that she wasn't grateful, she was just incredibly confused. Any wolf with some sense in them would have left the crazy female to die.
Is this what friends did? Help each other? Myu had a friend at last, even if she didn't know it yet.

The water had stopped rising, but didn't receed. To top things off it was still pouring. Mud and gunk was dripping from both of they're pelts. He was about to shake, but didn't feel like spraying Myu with the runoff. He licked his newly-scraped pad gently. He looked up at her when she asked the question. but he didn't know how to answer it, because he hadn't answered one lik that before. I didn't need to loose anyone else.
"I really don't know." he lied. "Are you hurt?" he asked. He cared. Roger hadn't cared in a while, but he actually cared.

Myu sighed softly, glancing at her fur. She didn't care about the mess unlike some females would. She seemed okay, she didn't feel any pain... "Yes, I'm fine." she nodded after inspecting herself, and looked at his paw-pad. It was a minor cut, but it would be quite sore to walk in in the future... If they ever got a chance to walk away at all. She was trying to bring herself up to say 'thank you', but her mouth wouldn't open, nor would the words form in her mouth. She looked at the water again, seeing her reflection get messed up by the choppy water.
"T-…Thanks." she said softly, looking back at him. She hoped he heard, Myu wasn't going to say something like that again out loud. Myu looked at his pad again and frowned. "Close call, huh?"

Roger inspected his pad. It would heal alright. "Well thats good." he said about her being alright. He was grateful his new friend was okay. This meeting had changed everything. He was no longer alone. But less-alone. It was, fullfilling, it was amazing, but it would never happen again. Or at least in a long time.
"Don't thank me, I guess thats what friends are for. Or at least I think we're friends. I don't know. i haven't had a friend since puphood. I guess most would consider us friends, I think." he said honestly. He really didn't know what to consider a friend, so basically, they we're friends.
"Very close." he said.

Myu smirked. He did care after all, and it felt good. She blinked, the rain slowly becoming light again, but she didn't even notice, and she thought it over. Twice. Don't thank me, I guess that's what friends are for. .
Friends? So they were friends after all? Myu was pleased about this, but didn't let it show and nodded. "Yeah, we're friends." she agreed. It was always good to have someone by your side, even if she didn't want to admit it, and that meant they would be there for each other. They were the only ones each other had. Sitting down on her haunches, Myu looked up at the sky and snorted. "Bloody rain gets lighter after or near death experience?" she grumbled, but was just joking. Looking at herself again, Myu sighed and shook her head. Any female would be overreacted about this sort of thing, exclaiming about how their fur was mucked up and how they could've died. Dispite the situation, Roger was happy. Finally happy. He had a companion. He knew he was no longer alone in this world. It felt good inside. But he knew this would be his only friend for a very long time. He looked up at the sky where the clouds were slowley slipping apart. Rain fell lighter and lighter.
He smiled slightly at her joke."Looks like we could make it back to the Falling Terratory now. Do you want to go?" he asked her. He really didn't know what you were supposed to do with a friend, accept stick by they're side.

Myu noticed his small smile, even if it was small, and was almost jealous. Myu could never bring herself to smile anymore, turning the corner of her lips up seemed a waste of time. What did a smile do? Nothing. Either way, she was content with having one friend only, and Roger seemed a good choice. Her ear twitched and she could feel the mud drying on her fur. The water seemed to be going down slowly, receding to somewhere and she slowly slipped into the water, making sure not to splash Roger.
"I don't mean to be a drama queen, but I like a clean coat." she said, quickly coming out of the water again, not shaking her fur like the first time. She was a bit hungry, her stomach feeling hollow, but there wouldn't be much prey about now.
"Sure."

Roger plopped down in the water, not realizing he splashed Myu. He quickly cleaned his coat then pulled himself back up onto the rock. He pad stung, but that wouldn't hold him back. He glanced at Myu, then back at his own shrinking reflection.
"Well, lets be going then." he said as he jumped back down a few minutes later. He trudged through the knee high water. That had been the best thing that had happened o him in a long time. And to think, it was a near death experiance. He reached the edge of the cliff, and saw the bare ledge he had used to get up here. He jumped own onto it, and then the next one. Then the one after that. When he had gotton all the way down the mountain he stopped and waited for Myu to come, his pad still stinging.

Myu snorted when he splashed her, shaking the water off. After he had clean fur, or as clean as he could have, she jumped down into the knee deep water with him and waded through it as fast as she could. Being limited to this slow pace was unnerving, Myu liked to move fast, it was what she was made for. Sighing softly, she followed after Roger silently, ear twitching at the birds squawking in the sky, circling over them.
Snorting, Myu walked along side Roger, glancing at him again. She still couldn't believe he was her friend, she was thankful, yes, but it was strange. Why was Roger the one? She just met him in the middle of a rain storm. And he saved her life, she didn't feel like she owed him anything, though. Myu didn't owe anyone anything.
