Momma? Where's our sister?[Crystal and her pups]

[Sapphire]

Crystal padded out of the mist, coming upon the mountains. She went up the hill, wth Gwenevere and Kabuto trailing behind her. She came upon a place where it was safe, and sat down. She beckoned for her pups to sit next to her. It was the first time for bringing them out there. "Momma?" Gwenevere asked.

"Yes, Gwenevere?" Crystal answered.

"I know we have Takumi and Toboe, our brothers. But where is our sister?" The little pup asked, tilting her head.

Crystal took a deep breath, and sighed. "Your sister, Sapphire, is a loner. She ran off from home, and decided she needed time to sort out her mistakes, or so I heard from Toboe.If you want, I can call for her." Crystal explained. Gwenevere nodded, as she watched her mom let out a melodic howl for not only Sapphire to come, but their father to come too.

"Why are you calling for daddy?" Gwenever asked.

"So we both can see Sapphire." Crystal explained.


Sapphire pricked her ears. She held a rabbit in her mouth. She cocked her head in confusion. Crystal wanted her. For what?Sapphire shrugged. She held her rabbit in her mouth, as she raced to the place where Crystal had let out the howl. By the way her mom's howl sounded, it didn't seem like it was bad news. Sapphire sighed, as she came to the spot. Her mom was lucky. She had pups, and a mate. Atreus had left Sapphire heartbroken, never to come again. He had lied. He had lied about the whole thing! It wasn't fair! Sapphire shook her head, shaking the thoughts out of her mind. She smiled as she saw two little pups sitting on the ground. "Hi, mom." Sapphire said.

"Hello, Sapphire. I would like to introduce you to your new brother and sister. Their names are Gwenevere, and Kabuto." Crystal said, smiling at her daughter. She looked better than she had been before.

"Hello, little ones." Sapphire said, smiling at her two new siblings.

"Hi, Sapphire." Gwenevere said, perking up as she wobbled over to her sister.

"Here mom, you can have my rabbit." Sapphire said, as she nuzzled her sister.
Crystal nodded a thanks, taking a bite out of the rabbit.

Frosty could hear his family in the distance, their cute little speculative voices, and a warm feeling washed through his body as he slowly padded foward, taking the easiest route so as not to strain his muscles too much. It was a new year, and he was starting to feel the edges of old age. He wondered how much worse it would be next Spring.
The closer he was to approaching his family, the more his ears perked up in slight alarm. He heard another all too familiar voice, a voice that, when he last encountered, had cut through a piece of his heart like the tooth of a bear. It stopped him in his tracks, and for a moment he felt like he wasn't ready to face his eldest daughter, not now. What would she think of seeing him, either? Frosty didn't want Gwenevere and Kabuto to know of the family division. He was detirmined to make sure his two new pups felt like they were in a loving family - not smothering.

He wondered how stiff and wary he looked as he finally sliced the distance between him and his mate, and Sapphire, standing a couple of feet farther away than usual.
"Crystal, pups. Sapphire," he greeted with a heartfelt voice. He eyed Sapphire with his own dark sapphires.

"Hi, Frosty. Look at our new visitor." Crystal said, smiling. Gwenevere ran over to her father, bouncing up and down, up and down in front of him. She was very hyperactive today, and nobody had a clue why. She was just always like this. It wasn't exactly a coincedence. "Looks like the hyperactive nutball spazz is very happy." Crystal said, jokingly. Her daughter just nodded, as she continued to bounce up and down.

Sapphire turned to her father. "Hello, father." She said, slowly padding over to him. She sighed, tears in her eyes as she remembered Atreus. Her fake sweetheart. Why? Why had he lied to her? It wasn't fair!
