"WHAT KIND OF A F**KING ALPHA ARE YOU," Eyelle screamed angrily. Caerwyn and her were currently mid-argument, and Caerwyn's eyes were wide with shock. Eyelle looked beautifully furious, but he was in shock for the way she was talking to him.
She was falling apart.
"Eyelle, calm down," he said, voice rising angrily. He didn't want to be spoken to like that. Her green eyes were fiery with clear and unfiltered hatred. "NO. NO, YOU LISTEN YOU GODDAMED SCREW UP," Eyelle snarled, pacing in front of him and then rounding on him. "YOU ARE THE ALPHA, YET YOU NEVER EVEN SPEND A DAMNED MINUTE WITH ANYONE. YOU'RE ALWAYS OFF ALONE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. YOU WEREN'T EVEN THERE WHEN MY MOTHER DIED. YOU KNEW ABOUT IT, BUT YOU DIDN'T EVEN COME TO ASK IF I WAS OKAY. AND NOW, NOW I MANAGE TO CATCH YOU ON THE BORDER SULKING AROUND LIKE USUAL AND YOU JUST HAPPEN TO SLIP INTO CONVERSATION THAT MY FATHER AND UNCLE HAVE LEFT THE VALLEY, AND MY SISTER LEIA IS DEAD?!"
His ears flew back, and he took a few very deep breaths. Must keep under control. Thankfully, he didn't feel a fit coming on. Just yet. "Eyelle, I thought you knew!" "DON'T F**KING LIE TO ME, YOU BASTARD," Eyelle cried, face contorted with utter rage. "I HATE YOU, I HATE THIS ENTIRE TWISTED PACK. YOU'RE THE LEADER OF THE GOOD GUYS AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN THINK TO COME AND COMFORT AN OLD FRIEND WHEN HER FAMILY FALLS APART?"
Caerwyn didn't answer. He couldn't answer. He just stood there silently, watching her break down. "I hate you," she breathed, sobbing but without tears rolling down her cheeks. She drew in rasping breaths, feeling what was left of her heart crack further still.
And he didn't know what to do.

"What is going here?!" Midnight howled, padding forward with her tail and ears raised in alarm. Anybody could hear the yelling from practically across the world, she thought to herself as she had raced towards them. Now she was here watching the frantic Eyelle as she blew up at Caerwyn. She looked from one wolf to the other, an aghast look on her face.
"Eyelle, why are you screaming at Caerwyn like that?" Truth be told, Eyelle was so loud that she had actually heard most of the conversation. She glanced a bit hard at Caerwyn. Eyelle wasn't the only one who had noticed Caerwyn's strange distance.

Jasmyne was wondering the borders, her feeling of lonliness tempting her to head towards No Man's. As she walked, her ears caught a sound, a familair sound. It was her sister, Eyelle, and she was close enough and heading in their direction to hear bits and pieces of what was being said. Had her father and uncle truly left? And what had happened to Leia and their mother? She ran, her creamy white legs moving as fast as they could, heart pounding in her chest.
When she finally joined the scene, she saw her sister practically in hysterics. She immediately ran to her side, and her face was filled with concern. Eyelle? Elle? What's going on, talk to me. Her voice quivered with worry. Did she really want to know?

Eyelle smirked spitefully at Caerwyn, baring her teeth. It was a little juvenile, but it got the point across very clearly. Caerwyn stared at her, eyes narrowing as her spiteful little gestures cut him to the core.
"Witness, Caerwyn, an Alpha who actually does her job," Eyelle snarled viciously at Caerwyn. "Shut up," Caerwyn snapped back. Caerwyn's eyes flashed as he looked over at Midnight. He felt cornered, like a pup being scolded by it's mother. "I haven't been feeling well recently, and-" "You're not the only damned one," Eyelle growled venomously. "KEEP YOUR BLOODY MOUTH SHUT WHEN I'M TALKING!" Caerwyn yelled, and Eyelle fell silent, eyes shooting daggers at her old friend. "I had absolutely no idea you didn't know about your father and sister. I thought you knew. I thought you'd want your space..." "Not everyone runs away from things when they get tough, Caerwyn," Eyelle spat, as if disgusted with him. She looked away from him, staring hard at the ground, body shaking from the anger. Caerwyn felt his hackles raise but he refrained from growling at her.
Eyelle looked up and around at Jasmyn, blinking for a moment. She had the same wild innocent look, the one Eyelle was sure she had worn before she knew everything. "Did no one tell you either, Jas?" Eyelle whispered, barely audible. "Mum and Leia are dead. Dad and his brother left." She felt her eyes well up with tears, her body shaking more with the hysterics she was facing.
Caerwyn could see this was about to get a whole lot worse.

"I think it's obvious why she's screaming at him like that," Came a quiet, but defiant female's voice, directed at Midnight. She wouldn't normally answer-back to her Alphas, especially since she barely knew either of them, but Carmine couldn't help but overhear Eyelle's plight. She felt an immense amount of pity for her, not just because of her need to fix wolves who were down, but because she had some empathy for Eyelle's case.
Carmine too, knew what it was like to lose your entire family. Well, she had the choice to find them again, but now that she was almost tied to the Dancing Stars, she didn't think she'd be able to. Fixing Eyelle with an understanding look, she walked over to the young femme. She didn't really know how to make her feel better, but she was damn-well going to try. Carmine was a little frustrated at Midnight - hadn't she heard why Eyelle as screaming? Hadn't she the slightest bit of sorrow for her?
"I'm not going to try and tell you it's okay, because it's not," she started quietly to Eyelle, "But I think everyone should stop shouting. It hurts other wolves' ears." Well, it was a start...

Midnight listened to Eyelle carefully. Did Eyelle really think Caerwyn wasn't doing his job? Midnight would have never thought that. Her blood began to boil and she bared her teeth at the other female. She was insulting her love and she wouldn't stand for it. "Eyelle, Caerwyn is your Alpha whether you like it or not and I don't appreciate how you're treating him." She padded closer to stand by his side and nudged his shoulder to show him she was on his side. Part of her felt like Eyelle was right; but she would never degrade Caerwyn in front of everybody like that. She would talk with him later, in private. So she raised her tail high and just stared challengingly at Eyelle. She looked at Jasmyne, wishing that any bystanders would just stay out of it, but she didn't stop the sister from trying to comfort Eyelle. She was just a female who was stressed out. Even Midnight was feeling stressed at the moment. Some females just had a different way of venting.
Midnight turned towards Carmine, baring her teeth at her, too. She felt torn between defending her mate and confronting the problem.

'But you can't leave!' Quartz said sadly, tears welling in his eyes. Topaz shook her head slowly, 'I...I have to...' she said, looking at the ground, feeling a little intimidated by her brother. Their auds pricked simultaneously (??) as they heard shouting and screaming coming form further down the border. They both looked at each other, Quartz sniffing away tears.
'I guess I'll just have to leave some other time.' Topaz said with a grin, licking her brother on the nose. Quartz's face lit up into a grin, and then he turned, rearing up. Topaz grinned back at her brother, then whispered, 'Pack-life calls!'
'Double Trouble tooo the rescue!' added Quartz, crashing his paws down on the dusty ground, it vibrated slightly, and together they both raced off to find Caerwyn and Eyelle. Double Trouble... Topaz thought, she remembered that, it was a game they used to play when they were younger... They used to pretend that they were secret agents working for Xaka on a mission to find out if anyone was plotting against them, or if anyone was arguing. Good times... she thought, her face wrinkling into a smile.
Quartz skidded to a halt, nearly crashing into Jasmyne. He blushed slightly, and then turned to face Eyelle and Caerwyn, his smile wiped off his face immediatly. Topaz almost crashed into Jasmyne, too, but she gracefully glided over her, then turned elegantly, her eyes full of wisdom, yet they eminated happiness, even though there was no smile on her face. She looked at Caerwyn, and padded over hesistantly, unsure of what to say.
'Calm down, Eyelle, screaming won't help...' she said, nodding her head in respect to Caerwyn and Midnight.

With Eyelle's words, Jasmyne's whole world crashed. Her heart momentarily stopped, and her brain tried to process what had just happened. Eveline and Leia were...dead?? It couldn't be...No, no, they can't be! Don't say that Eyelle! And Dad and Uncle Skulls...they l-left? But why? What about us? HOW DID THIS HAPPEN She shook her head, not wanting to believe what her sister had said. They couldn't be dead...
She whipped her head around, green eyes wild as she saw Midnight and Carmine. Did you know about this too? She stared at Midnight, eyes hard and focused, filled with emotion. She was Sukalina's daughter, her mother's best friend's daughter. They had grown up together, and she hadn't even bothered to tell Jasmyne her sister and mother were dead, and her father and uncle had left the valley? It didn't make sense. If they were a pack, why were they keeping secrets?

Midnight turned to look Jasmyn in the eye, alarm making her blood instinctively boil. "Yes, I did know. I was there mourning with the family! I sang for your mother! Are you going to blame me because you did not hear me sing for Eveline?" Midnight snarled, taking a step towards her. This was getting rediculous. What kind of pack was this if everyone kept openly openly insulting their Alphas?
"Everyone just be quiet and don't you dare talk nonsense about Caerwyn! If it weren't for him we'd have all starved to death by now," she screamed frantically, looking around the area for anybody who would dare challenge her words. She looked back at Eyelle. "Eyelle, I am sorry that you are losing so many in your family. But why blame Caerwyn for your pain? I didn't tell you about Eveline, either, did I? So before you start attacking Caerwyn for this, you need to come through me."
As she blinked her yellow eyes in concetration, a thought came to mind. She realized that the pack was ahead of her. She needed to speak with Caerwyn before everybody jumped to conclusions. She had to quiet them down before it got out of her reach. She decided to lie. "Listen, Caerwyn is telling the truth. He's been ill. I've been taking care of him and covering for him, doing most of the work for him. It's my fault that you don't know about everything, Eyelle and Jasmyne. I've been too caught up to worry about those who have left us!" She backed up towards Caerwyn, standing at his side again. She lied, and she hoped she had lied good enough for them. This was probably the first lie she had ever told, so it wasn't like she had practice.

Caerwyn's expression was completely emotionless. Everything was moving so slowly, he watched Midnight defending him and he felt more and more guilty. He felt so pressured to say something spectacular and calm the whole situation down, but he could barely think. Barely breathe.
Eyelle, for the first time since her mother died, burst into tears. She flatly ignored Midnight for a moment and she ran to her sister, pushed her nose deep into her sibling's pelt, crying into it because they were all they had left.
Except... she thought for a moment. Josiah. Uncle Josiah. The Falling Moon she thought, blindly. She blinked, looking up and staring at Midnight defiantly. She could tell the Alphas were panicking.
"It's alright for you, Midnight. You've got your mother. You've got a mate. You've got an entire pack behind you." Eyelle said quietly, softly, angrily. "You will never know what it feels like to feel that you have no one."
She lifted a paw and wiped her wet cheek roughly. "I thought I had even a few friends here," she shot Caerwyn a withering look. "But all I have is my sister. I can see that now," Eyelle said harshly, tone one of clear disappointment.

Midnight let her lips fall. The words had sliced her hard. If she couldn't understand the pains of the packmembers, how could she ever hope to be any sort of a leader? Her whiskers quivered with emotion and she pressed herself against Caerwyn for comfort.
"If you truly think that nobody in this pack will look after you..." she said quietly, sadly. "Then you're right. Caerwyn and I are failures. There is no excuse for what I did to you." Then she looked away rather disapprovingly, her dignity coming back to her. "So why don't you just leave? In fact, why don't you go join Falling Moon? I'll bet they'll treat you so much better," she spat sarcastically. She rubbed her cheek against Caerwyn's fur very quickly, her own way of keeping herself from losing her strength. She didn't care anymore; Eyelle was being very disrespectful and Midnight would never stand for Caerwyn being insulted like that.

"Why don't you stop defending Caerwyn, stop yelling at those who need you most and start acting like you actually care about your packmembers?" Said Carmine coldly, as she watched Eyelle bursting into tears by Jasmyne's side. She found the way the Alphas were dealing with these two clearly traumatised wolves ridiculous; shouting at those in such an emotional state could never solve anything, in her eyes.
"When these two sisters need you most, you tell them to leave. Wouldn't you treat them in the same way as you'd treat your 'ill' mate? For they're clearly not well at the moment," Carmine continued calmly, even though she knew it was none of her business. However, inside she was shaking with rage at what was going on.

"Damned straight!" Eyelle cried, at what Carmine had said. She could still feel her body shaking, but she suddenly felt so thankful for the rusty coloured female who was saying everything Eyelle was trying to say. Just, much better. Eyelle rounded on Midnight, narrowing her eyes as she prepared her verbal attack mentally. "Will you just, for one minute, just-" Eyelle started again, voice rising with the heat of the arguement. However, she was promptly cut off by Caerwyn. He stood up, moving past Midnight fairly roughly. He could tell he really needed to step up right now, take control.
His head was cool, and calm, and he lifted his head. "Eyelle, I understand you've lost a lot recently," he said loudly, but not shouting. He was just demanding their attention, and Eyelle was actually listening. "I understand, I truly do, what it feels like to lose a parent. You feel like parts of you inside have just died. You feel like killing everyone who wasn't there to save them."
His words were ones he'd been thinking his entire life, ones he'd never spoken aloud. "You feel like running away, becoming someone brand new. You resent everyone and everything because they don't feel as terrible as you do." He explained, as if she didn't know. She frowned, ears flicking discontentedly. "But... you will learn that there is always someone who cares."
"We all make mistakes, Eyelle. We all lose those we love, those who are closest to us. I am terribly sorry to anyone who has been hurt recently by my lack of... good Alpha skills, I suppose you could call it. I apologise profusely and that will all change."
His voice was firm, strong, and Eyelle looked up at him almost untrustingly. To fall apart again, that would be a waste of time. She just took a step back and looked at him.

Jasmyne sat still, eyes locked on her alphas, as she felt her sister quivering in her shoulder, her tears wetting her pelt. It was taking all she had not to cry herself-who would be strong when Eyelle broke down? It was her job now, she knew that much. She buried her nose into Eyelle's neck, finally tearing her eyes away from her lifelong friend, heart filled with disappointment.
But as she felt herself beginning to break into tears, she heard Eyelle's words, and what Midnight said. She whipped her head round again, this time infuriated. Leave her alone Midnight! She's hurting, and the last thing she needs is you telling her to run to those bloodthirsty mutts! They'd tear her alive. Just because you are alpha now, doesn't mean you can say that! Caerwyn, he was born royal. And he has already proved he deserves our respect, before you were his mate. But you...you come from as low as us. Our mothers were best friends, we grew up together for god's sake. The least you could do is show some damn sympathy!!
Never before had Jasmyne ever defied an alpha, talked back to one, or disrespected them in her life. She stood up defiantly, defending her sister, ears flat against her head. Her green pools had tears slowly sliding down, wetting her cheeks with rage and great sadness. Everything was falling apart.
She stood there, rage filling inside her, when she heard Caerwyn speak. Eyelle actually stopped her rant and fell silent for the first time since Jasmyne had arrived. She listened intently, soaking in Caerwyn's words. He was right, to an extent.

Topaz listened to Caerwyn's words. She felt a little worse off than Eyelle, and that she was over-reacting. She sat down, staring at the floor. Caerwyn's words had set her off again, she couldn't handle it. It was a mistake to come here...But if she hadn't she wouldn't of felt happy with Quartz in the first place. She lifted her head, tears glistening in her eyes. She looked at Quartz, although her words were directed at Eyelle, 'You should concentrate on what you have, instead of what you haven't. You have your brother...' she shook her head, it was because she was watching Quartz, and meaning the words for herself aswell, 'Sister, sorry. You have your friends, too, and you belong to a pack who won't give in, and who will can help you if you ask them...' her gaze flickered to Eyelle.
'And you have many wolves who love you very much, two of which are longing to be your mate.' she added.
