Atreus could sense someone behind so he quickly turned on his heel and eyed the male suspiciously. Had he seen wat had happened? Was that why he was running at him like that? He decided to take a menacing approach he was getting sick of being the nice guy. "What do you want?" he said sharply, standing his ground bravely as the male moved towards him at top speed. He didn't budge, refused to give him the satisfaction of thinking he scared him. OoC:// Man, that sucks. Sorry, they'll get better.

Zaal gave a soft growl as the other male stopped and he slowed to a stop when he got close enough. "Why?" he snarled. "Why did you kill her? What did she do to you?" he asked viciously as if this stranger had just murdered one of his best friends. That's just how protective Zaal got of the few friends he was able to make, even if he barely knew them.
"What gives you the right to dance on in here and kill her, hmm?" he asked again after a short pause. His heavy breathing slowed slightly as he tried to calm himself down. He didn't need to go picking fights with the new wolf, though he might just have to over what he just witnessed.

Atreus pulled back his lips to reveal his sharp teeth, a warning growl escaping his maw. "If I were you, I'd keep my mouth shut about what you just saw back there," he said heatedly. "And besides, she thought her life was pointless anyway. I just helped it along," he said with an evil smirk. With sudden speed and without warning he leapt at the male hoping to pin him to the ground and put a bite somewhere on his body. He'd let him go with his life, and hopefully he'd be too scared to say anything.

"You're lying!" Zaal snarled fiercely. "And why should I keep my mouth shut! You don't frighten me," he growled a split second before the male jumped at him. Of course, he was caught off guard and tried to turn around to run before he felt the other wolf's weight on his back. He fell to the ground with a snort as the air was forced from his lungs and gasped softly when he felt teeth sink into one of his shoulders.
He began to squirm and wriggle in an attempt to throw the male off of him. He tried to stand once, but couldn't bear the weight of him for long enough to shake him off and fell back to the earth below him.

Topaz's ears pricked at the sound of fighting. She glanced at her brother, who had obviously heard it too. Quartz frowned, 'Do you think that males been picking a fight?' he snorted, deadly serious. Topaz sighed, 'I don't know, brother,' she looked back at where they had come from, then back at Quartz with a worried expression. 'Lets go help!' he exclaimed, and before Topaz could stop him, he raced off. Toapz sighed, and slowly shook her head, before padding after her brother.
Quartz skidded to a halt near the other males. He snarled, and lowered his neck. He padded slowly towards Atreus, trying his best to keep eyescontact.
Suddenly, he lunged forward, aiming to tackle the wolf to the ground and pin him down. If he managed that then maybe he could... Dare her say it;
Kill him!

OoC:// Moony, your wolves aren't included in the plot so they can't participate unless you sign them up. And even so, it won't be in this thread. It will throw the main plot off. Sorry. : / Bic:// Atreus increased the pressure a bit longer and then unclamped his jaws. "I'll let you go with a warning. But if you tell anyone I'll hunt you down and I will kill you," he snarled with bare teeth before pushing himself off of the male. He began to turn away from him but then stopped and aimed to plant a bite on his rump before leaving.

Zaal growled softly in pain and wasn't quick enough to avoid the bite to his rump. His brown eyes narrowed after the male and was tempted to call out a rebellious reply like 'You don't scare me!' or something like that, but the sensible part of his brain reacted before the angry part and he remained silent. He gave a groan as he put weight onto the leg that was attached to his now injured shoulder. He looked at it as best he could, but he could feel that it was pretty torn up because of his struggling. He knew it would stop bothering him soon enough, but it sure hurt now.
Not only that, but now his flank on the same side was bleeding. He could feel the warm blood oozing down his leg. He hated that feeling, though he didn't know why. With an aggravated snort, he turned and began making his way slowly back towards Falling Moon land.

Tala had found Zaal exactly like that, torn up and hurt. Her eyes widened and she rushed to his side, studying the wound as she slowed to halt. "What happened?" she questioned, leaning closer to gently lick his wound. "We should probably go to the lake and get it cleaned up," she said. Two things came to her mind then. This wound was too large to clean with just her tongue and this would definitly delay their trip. But she wouldn't leave without him. He was her only friend and companion. She may not be able to last out their on her own and Zaal coming with her provided some comfort. And besides, she liked his company.
She stood close to him so he could put his weight on her if he needed to. Slowly she began moving towards the lake, keeping pace with him, and thinking about how their voyage would be postponed until his wound healed. She felt disappointed but not at him. She'd been looking forward to it, but she'd rather postpone it than go without Zaal.

Zaal tensed slightly as he noticed another wolf running towards him and thought that the new male had come back for another fight. He relaxed as he noticed it was Tala and sat down, glaring off where he'd last seen his attacker. "There was this strange wolf I've never seen before. There was a bit of a falling out, it's really not a big deal," he said with a sigh and looked at Tala again. He left out the real reason for the fight because he knew that the male could have been hiding anywhere and listening to him.
Maybe he was just being paranoid, but it was better safe then sorry. He nodded at Tala and stood up. "Okay, to then lake then," he said. He stood and took a few steps before deciding that it would be faster if he leaned on Tala. He didn't want to get any blood on her fur, but knew he couldn't help it. "Now, I don't want this to delay out trip," he said. He wanted to get out of the valley as soon as possible. Dachian was mad at him and now there was this new threat. Perhaps if they left soon, all the problems would just cool off by the time they returned. "Have you told everyone you need to yet?"

"Well, I'm glad you're okay," she said, reaching up to give him a lick on the maw. She had a feeling he wasn't telling her something, but if it was bad, she'd rather not know, and maybe he'd just tell her in his own time. "We can't go if you're hurt," she murmured hating to say the words, but knowing they needed to be said. She couldn't risk giving him further injury because she'd been pushy and they wouldn't get far if he was hurt anyway. "Maybe we should just wait until you feel better, then we'll go," she commented. She sighed. "But maybe I can go, build us a den outside of the valley...Do you think you'd be able to make it that far?" she asked, hope in her voice. "Then after that, you rest all you want. I just want to get out of this valley," she said.
"Well, I told my mom," she answered. "She said she'd tell my dad, and after that word will probably just get around." She peered off for a bit, deep in thought. Would anyone even care that she left? "Did you?" she asked, wondering about Dachian and how he'd reacted to Zaal's news. Was he jealous that his brother was leaving with his ex-mate?

Zaal nodded and a small smile formed on his face. "Yes. I'm sure I can at least make it out of the valley. Besides," he said, lifting up his paw and stretching his injured shoulder, "This probably won't hold us up for more than a few days." He didn't want to worry Tala.
When she asked if he'd told everyone he needed to, his expression darkened a bit. He remembered how Dachian had reacted and ran away from him. His spirits fell a little bit at the thought that Dachian might not even consider him a brother anymore. "Yes, I told Dachian. He got very angry with me." Zaal looked up at her, his eyes holding confusion and slight guilt. "There's not....anything between you to still, is there?" he asked. Somehow, he felt like he was stealing something from Dachian. But they'd already been together once and it failed, so how could he be?

Tala was glad Zaal didn't take her eagerness as insensitivity to his injury. She just didn't want to stick around long enough for Duke to find out and come after her. She doubted her father would leave the valley. He was too addicted to it, and Anevay had just had her pup. She'd chosen the perfect time to leave. And everyone would be too overwhelmed with the pups to even consider her disappearance. "That's good," she murmured with a small smile. "But, please, tell me if you're not up to it," she said, voice urgent. She didn't want him risking further injury just for her.
Tala couldn't help but feel a bit happy about what Zaal had just told her. The fact that Dachian had been angry with their disperse together meant that he actually did care what she did, where she went, and with who she was with. This was something he'd never quite proven to her until now. However, this did not change her opinion on him. To her, he'd still broken her heart. And yes, she'd forgiven him but what they'd had, had only been nothing more than puppy love. "Of course there's nothing between us," she said with an "as if" expression.

"Don't worry. I'm sure I'm as eager to get out of here as you are," he said, brushing his nose briefly against her cheek in a friendly gesture. He would push himself to go until he pretty much collapsed from pain and exhaustion, but he knew that if he did that, he'd just slow them up even more. He looked ahead and saw the lake not to far ahead of them.
"Alright. So long as you're sure there isn't," he said as he started panting slightly. "Why don't you go on ahead and get a den outside the valley. You can come back for me when you've found one and I can clean myself up while you're gone," he said. He could just wait by the lake for however long was needed until Tala returned and it seemed like the fastest way to get away from the valley and from that strange male.

She smiled as he nosed her cheek, and she leaned into it ever so slightly before backing away. "Alright, but try not to get into anymore fights while I'm gone," she said with a teasing smile. "I'll try to hurry back," she said. "Rest a bit while I'm gone, so you can be prepared for the journey." She disappeared, heading to the border of the place she'd know all her life. It was strange to cross it, and a pang of sadness came over her, but there was no turning back. She had to do this, she had to find out what was there for her in this world.
She found a cave quickly, and made sure it was vacant and a good place to stay. A bit damp, but other than that, it was perfect. Quickly, she turned and sprinted all the way back to Zaal with a smile, glad to be in the company of someone again. "Okay, I found a spot...There's a stream running in the back of it. It's perfect. Are you ready to go?" she questioned eagerly.

Zaal nodded and laughed softly. "I'll do my best to avoid any more fights," he promised, lifting his head proudly. He sat there and watched her until he couldn't see her any more and then, reluctantly, he stood up and made his way gingerly to the water's edge. He managed to wash out his wounds himself and then turned and settled down on a soft patch of grass in the shade of a tree.
By the time Tala returned, he has fallen into a light slumber and was quickly pulled out of it at the sounds of pawsteps getting closer. He smiled when he saw Tala and sat up waiting for the report. "Sounds like a good spot," he said and nodded as he hauled himself to his paws. "I'm ready, lead the way," he said with a slight bow of his muzzle to signal that she should go ahead and he would follow.
