Amber eyes saught refuge from the coming rains, scouring the territory for any sign of shelter. He had no time to run to the dens, it'd be a downpour by then. Loch scented the air. Yup, spring was definately on its way. Soon, the snow would be all gone and stalks of fresh, new grass would find their way to the surface to greet the sun and to cushion his step. Loch was fed up with having frozen toes. He stopped and lifted a paw, wiggling them and wincing in pain. The cold made him stiff and surly, and the whole situation with Eyelle did not help either.
He sulked, padding forward as he saw a small opening at the base of a hollowed out tree. By the scent of it, Loch could tell it was a badger den. Then smell was foul and stale. No badgers had crossed this threshhold for moons! He nodded to himself and crouched in order to get through the small opening. Inside it was rather roomy, and very warm. Loch curled up into a ball, his tail flicking about beside his cheek. He couldn't stop thinking of Eyelle. Wasn't he good enough? He had no idea there was another male in the picture. Best leave it that way, it'd make him feel even more pooey.

Toboe found himself in the same wet situation, except he hadn't found the badger den in time and the new rain had drenched him to the skin. With his nose to the watery ground, he searched out an immediate shelter when at last, he stumbled upon the badger set. He stumbled clumisly into it, the water dripping off of him like he had just jumped into the lake.
The den reeked. Badgers were definately on the top five list of Toboe's smelliest creatures. Maybe even on top. It was dark in the den and there wasn't enough light outside for him to help him find his way. That's why he didn't realize he wasn't alone when he bumped into something furry. Surprised, Toboe, out of sudden fear, bared his teeth, backed away, and growled threateningly at whatever he had just touched.

Loch started, awoken from the slumber he had just been descending into. A foot had trodden on his tail as a mass of fur fell into him. He jumped up, shackles raised, and bared his teeth. He was not in the mood to be stepped on at the moment. Neither literally or figuratively. He'd already been stepped on by a beautiful fae.
"Who goes there?" His vocals were rough and harsh, as his ears flattened to the back of his neck. This wolf smelled familiar. He smelled of Eyelle. Who was he?

Toboe's ears flew upwards and he stoped his growling, letting his lips relax. It was another wolf who had sought shelter, nothing to worry about. "I'm sorry! I didn't see you. I'm Toboe, son of Frosty and Crystal." He squinted his eyes, trying to focus in the darkness, but to no avail. The clouds outside were just too dark for him to see in this den. "Who're you?" he returned the question, sitting down comfortably in the dirt. It was hard to tell in this smell badger set, but this fellow had a trace of Dancing Star scent on him.
{I'll leave it up to Maybe :]}

ooc// Please do.
Loch scowled. It was a mistake. He shuffled his body about so that the new wolf would have room to sit down.
"Thanks for er...dropping in." Loch smiled to himself, even though his heart was heavy with doubt and sadness. "I'm Lochnivar."
(Sorry about the length.)

Toboe chuckled sincerely, all signs of suprised agression gone. This fellow was just newer to the pack, he realized. Maybe he should get to know him better. "Glad to meet you, Lochnivar. That's a cool name," he complimented kindly, shuffling his wet body away until his side pressed against the dirt wall of the den. Then he slid down on his belly. "I came here to escape the rain. Boy, it came so quickly that I didn't even have time to get back to the dens." He nosed twitched as he tried to get used to the thick badger smell. It was acrid, but at least in here it was dry.

Loch wrinkled his nose and surpressed a sneeze. The scent was putrid, but he was thankful for the warmth and lack of moisture in the badgers' set. "Why thanks. Yours is pretty cool too, Toboe." Loch grinned and nudged his new friend on the shoulder.
"Hopefully we'll be able to get out of this smelly old hole soon. Spring is nice, but the rains are quite a downfall."
