Zaal found himself running across the land, simply to satisfy his need to burn off energy. He had spring fever and he had it bad. The thought of going and resting in a den seemed unthinkable and he felt that he simply had to be out here, running and burning of his energy. He skidded to a halt and sat on a boulder looking around with an alert expression. His tongue lolled out of his mouth as he panted and rested for just a moment.
He began thinking of any wolves that he might meet out here. There was his brother, Dachian, or maybe Dagger if she was roaming. But right now he didn't mind. Life was good right now. Spring was here, he seemed to have made a new friend in Tala, or so he liked to think. Nothing could really dampen his spirits right now and, feeling rested, he stood up and began to run again.
He stopped again, laying down in the shade and panting heavily. Part of it was from running and part of it was from the warmth of the spring time sun on his brown fur. He looked around and wondered if he would meet anyone else out here. It was possible, sure, but he didn't think it was very likely to run into another loner or pack wolf in a place as big as No Man's Land. He rolled on his back, covering his pelt in dust and raising a cloud of dust around him as he did so.

"Heya handsome." Leia said flirtaciously as she alked up behind Zaal. She grinned, and batted her eyes at him. She circled round him, grinning. She appeared to look him over. He certainly would do as a father. She pushed that thought to the back of her head though. She also had spring fever, as all the females without mates did. Now was the point where you had to find a mate, or miss out on spring.
"What's a cutie like you doin' out here in No Man's? You don't have a mate yet?'.

Zaal jumped slightly at the sound of a voice. He sat up and looked at Leia in silence. He smiled in a slightly mischievous way before responding. "No, I don't," he said, standing up long enough to shake extra dirt from his fur before sitting down again.
He could tell by her scent that she was from the Dancing Star and he wondered if she could tell his pack scent or if he'd unknowingly covered it with the dust. She was indeed a pretty wolf, so he didn't particularly care what pack she was from. He silently warned himself to be careful. If there was a big battle between the two packs again, he couldn't afford to have friends in the other pack that would affect his fighting.
"Anyways," he said, shaking his head slightly. "Since you're flirting like that, I'll assume you don't have a mate either?" he asked with a slight teasing tone to his voice. He sort of felt like an argument, but he couldn't quite decide whether or not he wanted to provoke the female. He'd decide after her next reply. He watched her carefully, analyzing her and trying to detect any weakness that he could use to annoy her if he wanted to. After a moment of silence, he quickly grew bored of waiting for a reply. "What's your name, anyways?" he asked.

Leia grinned at his first response. "Excellent." She said to herself. She then looked at him tauntigly, then waved her tail around in a tease. "Nope, not yet! All of the interesting Dancing Star males are all snatched up. And I've looked throughout No Man's Land, with no such luck. You seem to be the only male who hasn't immediatly tried to attack that's from Falling Moon.".
She grinned. "The name is Leia, but be careful hun, don't wear it out. What's your name? Who're your parents? Mine are Eveline and Crossbones(?), both loyal Dancing Stars. My uncle is your beta male, however.".

Zaal shrugged and smirked. "Well, why would I rush to attack such a pretty female?" he asked coyly. "My parents were Marley and Razor. I never got the opportunity to know my father," he said like it wasn't important.
He adopted a thoughtful expression. "Josiah?" he asked just to make sure they were talking about the same wolf. At least for now, he decided not to piss her off. He was silent for a moment before pretending like he'd remembered something he'd forgotten. "You can call me Zaal, by the way," he finally said and the looked away from Leia casually. "So....what's new?" he asked, trying to start conversation.

Leia beamed, glad he was returning her flirtations. "Marley and Razor? I've heard of Marley, never of Razor. Wasn't he Dagger's brother?" She said, sitting down. Her brown eyes watched him expectantly.
"Yes, Josiah." She raised her brow. "Zaal? Interesting name. Never heard nothing like it." She smiled sweetly. Nothing is new really. Caerwyn chose a mate, and she just took the Alpha Female spot. It's Midnight. A nice fae, she is. Before I met you, they were my only two friends. You ARE my friend, arent you?" Her eyes widened.

Zaal nodded to confirm that Razor was Dagger's brother. "Well, one can't really afford to make friends in their rival pack, but I suppose I could call you my friend," he said, acting aloof to it all. "So he finally took a mate huh? Good, others might see it as a weakness if a pack only has one alpha," he said in a sort of passive teasing tone.
He took a moment to focus on how the dust poofed up when he slapped his paw against the ground before glancing up at Leia again. "Well, it's a good thing you've never heard anything like it because then my feeling of uniqueness would've been destroyed," he said matter-of-factly.
