The dark figure moved, wandering the forest that she now called her new home. The forest had gained its leaves back, now that it was spring. She trotted through the shadows, not knowing or caring where she was going. The fae just knew she wanted some peace and quiet.
She had smelled others here, it was to be expected. She had travelled far, and had stumbled across these lands unexpectedly. When she had arrived, she had smelt not one, but two packs occupying this valley, and she had heard rumors. Maybe these were the infamous Falling Moon and Dancing Stars packs. She wouldn't be so dumb as to not take it into consideration. To be truthful, she admired the Moons, their strength and furosity being well known as she had travelled. They were deadly, strong, unmerciful. She liked it, but she had also heard they were arrogant and pompous, and had decided not to join. She'd probably have strangled someone.
She hid herself well, her black back blending in perfectly in the low lighting of the forest. She wandered the shadows, concealing herself incase anyone appeared. She wasn't the most sociable wolf in the valley.
Looking around, her green eyes saw nothing but the darkened foliage, and her ears heard nothing but the rustling of leaves in the wind. Her white paws began to turn brown as she padded through the soft dirt on the forest floor. Soon, she stopped, examining her new location. She wondered where exactly she was. But Daishan didn't really care, she was alone for the time being. The forest, Shadow Forest, was her favorite place in the valley so far, and she felt right at home in the darkness.

Rumours had been itching around the Dancing Stars pack about Caerwyn being horrible to Topaz, and Haine was bored of it. He knew Caerwyn was one of those irritating completely do-gooders, and so he knew he'd never purposefully hurt Topaz or anything. Right?
More to the point, he didn't really care.
He glided through the forest like a ghost, padding carefully, avoiding branches instinctively because it was dark and anyone could be around, waiting to pounce. Comatose wasn't exactly his best buddy, either, and he'd take any chance to kill him. What fun, to have enemies.
He was getting a strange sense that someone was here, though. He sniffed a little, faintly smelling a new female. Ooh! he thought, tail flicking up in curiosity. He looked around him, wondering where she was hiding.
It was awfully quiet.

Daishan stopped, her nose flaring as she caught scent of another. Who would dare to intrude on her alone time? She crouched low to the ground, covering every whtie part of her body, and proceeded to creep along the forest floor. Stealthily, she moved, doing her best to avoid twigs and leaves on the ground, and soon, the scent got stronger. She stayed hidden, and moved behind a large bush that stood next to a tall oak tree.
Looking out under the bush, she noticed that the being in front of her was a male, though she couldn't tell what pack he was from, or if he was on his own like she was. She watched him, her eyes boring holes into his side as she became angry. Who was this brute? Had he smelled her? She hoped not, and then the wind changed, putting him upwind from her. She had the advantage now. He wouldn't be able to smell her, not yet anyway.
She thought about this; did she really want to be found? No, but lucky for him, she was in a good mood, and did not feel like attacking him. She lay low, like she always did and observed the male, wondering who he was, and why he was here.

Haine remained silent, like the forest around him. There was a faint hum of movement, birds, bears maybe, and somewhere out there a wolf. She had to be getting closer, curiosity would bind her to wonder who he was, right?
He sat down slowly, careful to be cautious about a surprise attack. She may be a Falling Moon, just one he hadn't met, and if she scented Dancing Stars on him, she'd probably attack.
His ears flickered a little, looking around still, chocolate brown eyes gazing around the dense dark forests and bushes. Somewhere, there was a female who didn't want to be known right now. He began to feel more curious. Why was she hiding?
"I know you're there," he said loudly, but calmly. He didn't want to scare her, if she was this shy or unsociable. "I scented you earlier. Who are you?"

A low growl escaped her throat as she heard him speak. He knew she was there, just not where, which was fine for her. But she knew her stealth was pointless now, and slowly, she emerged from the shadows to his left. The first thing that was visible was her white paws, and soon her black body followed. When she had completely stepped out of the brush into the small clearing, her green eyes narrowed, watching him cautiously.
Her body tensed as she looked at this male, watching his movement. She hadn't seen or spoken to another wolf in a long time, and her social skills hadn't exactly developed any better. She stayed away from him, avoiding contact. She'd probably try to snap his neck if he tried anything. Eyes fixed on him with her deadly gaze, she snorted. Just who are you? She jeered, not really caring, but figuring it was the least she could do in this situation. [/center]

Haine watched her with intense curiosity as she finally showed himself. His heart was thumping rhythmically against his chest, and his eyes glittered. Who was this mysterious -and hostile- wolf before him?
"Name's Haine." he said loudly, still watching her. He let his smile form on his black lips, but he couldn't quite place her. She was a loner, he guessed vaguely. He felt his curiosity grow even more. Who is she? he kept wondering.
"What's your name?" he asked, unable to move for a moment.

She snorted as he spoke again, wrinkling her nose up. He smelled of many others, and her guess was he was part of one of the packs, which one though she did not know. She flashed a fang, and dug her claws into the dirt, cautious all the while. Dai. But you can call me Daishan. Dai wasn't one to give her nickname unless she liked you, and if she didn't? Well, that sucked for you. She didn't expect him to call her Dai, but it was the last thing her sister had called her, and the last name that stuck in her head in the most, though she did remember her other names.
Looking at him, green eyes still watching carefully, she actually moved her paw to the left, taking a step as her body followed. She wasn't sure what this wolf wanted to do with her, but he wasn't going to get his way so easily. She stared at him, untrusting, eyes cold. She hid her scar, the wound deeply imprinted on her shoulder. The memory of how she got it was also imprinted on her, but it was marked not only on her body, but her mind, heart, and soul as well.
