Haine's ears pricked as he listened to her heartfelt story and felt a little uncomfortable at some of her words. She began to open up to him about her life. He recognised her mother's story in her, and how it had affected her. He wanted to help, but charm was as far as Haine could go. All he could do was put on a brave smile and try to appear more deep, for Cocoa's sake.
"Aww, Cokes, that's a heartwrencher," he said sadly, gazing at her sincerely. "That father of yours really was a brute. Must've been strange in the head, going after all those faes. I can tell that your mother's fighting spirit is in you though." He smiled at her.

Cocoa smiled. "Yeah, I guess. My mother might still be alive. When I was old enough, I was able to go seperate ways, and look where that has taken me. My past still remains in my mind, replaying itself again and again. But I still have much more about my past. My former mate, everything. Sad life, ain't it?" Cocoa said, sighing, though her tail wagging as Haine said her nickname.
Cocoa looked deep into Haine's eyes, waiting for him to answer her. She soon stopped wagging her tail, and let out another sigh. She had never told anybody about her past, not even Shaye. She felt sort of ashamed, wishing that Shaye had known more about her. But he was probably happier now, wherever he had gone.

Haine tilted his head and gave his signature half-smile, eyes lighting up childishly and happily.
"We've all got our past issues, Cokes," he grinned vaguely. Then he jumped to his feet, determined to shake this dreary mood. The snow felt newly crunchy and satisfying beneath his paws and he gestured wildly with his head and muzzle. "Get up, darling, let's go for a run. How long has it been since you had a race in the snow? It's great fun,"
He ran and took a flying jump over her, spraying snow in her direction. Then he stuck his tongue out. "C'mon sleepy head! Cokes, if you catch me, then I applaud you," he grinned, and raced off into the mist.

"Actually, I haven't had a race for awhile. This will be easy, since I'm so used to racing with Blade." Cocoa said, smirking, as she tore off into the mist.
"Wow, he has given me a nickname, and he just called me darling? How can this day get any better?" Cocoa thought, as she continued to race after Haine.
"Oh, wait, I know. This day can get better if he expresses his feelings towards me. Yeah, that's it. I can just imagine him saying his feelings right now. 'Cokes, I love you,' or something like that. Yeah, close to it." Cocoa thought with a smile. This may possibly be the best day of her life right now.

Haine dropped his speed a little, falling back at her side, and he daringly stuck his head out and licked her cheek flirtily, before darting off in a completely different direction. That's sure to throw her, he mentally grinned to himself.
"Come on, sweetie, if you went any slower you'd be going backwards!" Haine taunted her lightheartedly, throwing his caramel head back and laughing, before jumping a log which came up in front of him in the mist very suddenly.

"Hey! No fair! Oh wow, looks like the prince is actually fast! Gasp!" Cocoa called after him teasingly. She chased after him in the direction he was going, and not noticing the log, she tripped over it, and barreled onto the ground, making a loud CRASH!
Cocoa whimpered as she looked at her wounded side, and front legs. Cocoa wished that hopefully Haine had heard her whimper and crash. If not, then she would just lay there, waiting for his arrival.

Haine whirled around at the sound of a collision. He rolled his eyes. Drama, drama, drama he thought to himself, but knew he should be nice on the outside. After all, she was pretty, and he didn't want any pretty wolves against him.
"Awww, did that log just jump out at you, Princess Cokes?" he laughed a little, as he clambered over beside her. He slid into a sitting position, and tilted his caramel head at her, awaiting her answer.

"Hey, not funny. Dang mist, you are lucky that you had seen the coke, Prince Haine. I probably shouldn't have gone this way. I am so stupid." Cocoa muttered, not looking up at Haine.
Why did this have to happen right when she had just met a new wolf? This always happened, and Cocoa was sick of it. Couldn't she just have some peace in this world for once in her life, or was that impossible?

Haine laughed vaguely at her comment on how he was lucky. Lucky? Maybe. Smart during a chase scene? Much more like it, he thought smugly to himself, but on the outside he remained cheery looking.
"Believe me, when you've had a cougar chasing you in a dust storm, that's when you learn how to dodge everything that's thrown at you," he laughed a little, forgetting his rule of not really talking about his past. It wasn't pretty, or particularly smart, but it had taught him a lot about himself.

"Let me guess, you had been chased by a cougar before? And I know what you mean, but I just wasn't paying attention. Twice, I took down a bobcat. One was with Dancing Stars. And the second was all by myself. At first, I didn't think I would make it, but I finally beat the thing, coming out of the battle with bloody wounds." Cocoa said, smirking, but not exactly bragging.
Cokes sighed. "If I would have been more careful, then I would have not tripped over the log. Stupid, you idiot! I should have known from Blade, since he is always teaching me the cautions of races, and being chased." Cocoa snarled to herself.

Haine nodded quickly and definitely when she mentioned the cougar again, and smiled as expected when she spoke of the bobcat hunts. He in no way doubted she had managed it, she looked able and she was sassy and yet sweet.
"So this character, Blade, who is he? I've heard loads of people mention him but so far I haven't seen him," Haine asked curiously, glancing around as if Blade was going to trot out of nowhere suddenly and explain his absence.

"Well..... Blade is one of current living brothers. He..... well.... he had fallen off one of the cliffs, and had hurt his head, jogging his memory. In his confusion, he ran off into No Man Land's. Nobody has seen him lately. I just..... I just hope he is okay." Cokes said, hoping that Haine wouldn't notice the tears swelling up in her eyes.
She shook her head, and thought positively. "But on the other hand, my other living brother, Frosty, is doing well. He has a mate already, and three kids. His mate is Crystal, and then his kids are: Sapphire, Takumi, and Toboe. But lately, it almost seems like Sapphire is turning into the younger me. When I thought that nobody understood me, so that is when I ran off with Shaye. I think Sapphire is thinking to do the same with Onisim, the heir to the Falling Moon throne. I guess it sadly runs in the family." Cocoa said, sighing.
