Zaal pretended to ponder about his answer for a moment. "Nope!" he said cheerily, shaking his head. "The highlight of my day was going to be scaring you, but you were to smart for me," he said playfully and reached over with his muzzle to give her a friendly nudge. "I don't really make plans anyway...I just sort of, well, go," he said, looking like he confused himself and wondering if what he said made any sense at all. He looked over at Tala with his confused expression. Who knows, maybe she understood it. He smiled when he looked over at her. She really is a pretty wolf, he thought, still smiling as he managed to walk while looking at her.

She let out a small laugh and slowly nodded her head. "Yeah, I get what you're saying," she answered with a smile. "You don't make plans, you just sorta fall into them," she said. That's exactly how she felt, just in different words. She glanced up at him, noticing an odd expression on his face, and she could feel her cheeks blush for just a moment, and her ears folded back slightly, embarassed.
"Stop looking at me like that," she muttered to the ground, though her ears were pointed to him, showing that she was talking to him. Why was he looking at her like that anyway? Was there some bug in her coat or something? She suddenly became self-concious and she felt like slinking back into the shadows.

"What, you mean like this?" Zaal asked playfully, keeping up the interested expression. "I can't help it, you're just so much fun to look at," he said with a friendly growl. He pranced around while managing to keep up with her at the same time.
"Why would you want me to stop looking at you? Was it something I said? Am I just that bad?" he said, faking that she hurt his feelings. He looked away with his ears back as if he just got whapped on the nose for being bad. Of course he didn't really feel that way, but something about spring put him into this kind of happy mood.

She sighed and rolled her eyes, glaring at him mockingly as a smile tugged at her blackened lips. "Do you mean that in a bad way?" she asked referring as to why she was so much fun to look at. She laughed and shook her head. "No, you're not bad," she said with a shrug. "You just make me feel..Self-concious," she said, "y'know, when you look at me like that," she murmured, feeling the redness creep back to her skin, and she found herself staring at the ground once more, trying to hide the embarassed expression on her face. Zaal perked up again, walking with a bounce in his step. He didn't seem to notice Tala's embarrassment or self-conciousness or whatever she wanted to call it. "Nope, you're fun to look at in a good way," he assured her. He looked at her again, this time with his curious look. "Why would I make you feel self-concious?" he asked.
Was he making her nervous? Should he leave so he didn't continue making her feel awkward? Many more questions like those whizzed around Zaal's skull and this time, he was actually a bit worried. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable and potientially chase her away. He didn't have many friends in the pack and figured he'd need as much as he could get.

"Oh, gee, thanks," she said sarcastically, rolling her eyes as a teasing smile appeared on her maw. She shrugged in answer to his question. "I don't really know. I guess because I don't know what you're thinking," she told him, wondering if that made in sense to him. "I mean, for all I know you could be thinking 'Ew, she's so ugly,'" she said giving him an example so it might make more sense. "I know, it doesn't really make a lot of sense," she murmured looking at the ground again. She seemed to be doing that a lot lately, not making any sense.

"Tsk, tsk," he said shaking his head slightly. "Why ever would I be thinking that?" he asked, decided to try laying on the charm. "I most certainly do not think you're ugly!" he informed her, performing a merry little hop as he did so.
He gave her a friendly smile and once more acted like he hadn't just been trying to flirt with her. He was in a bored mood and so was being a bit random, true, but if he could get at least a little laugh out of her, then he would feel better about it all.

She laughed lightly, staring down at her paws. "Well, why else would you be looking at me?" she questioned turning her head to look at him as if his facial expression would reveal the truth. In a certain way, it would. She'd just have to keep her eyes open and study his eyes and features closely. "What do you think of me, honestly?" she asked abruptly, truly not meaning to say it. She didn't want to be so upfront, but she'd already spoken the words before her brain even had time to refuse them.
She rolled her eyes at his little hop and just looked away, hoping for the best. Did it really matter what he thought anyway? She wasn't even sure they were friends yet and to be sure she had to find out what he thought of her.

"Maybe because you're the most prettiest wolf in the pack," he said with his bad grammar, looking away slightly. His face would've been red if his fur didn't cover it because, well, that was one of those statements that was supposed to stay in his mind, but accidentally slipped out of his mouth somehow. He mentally kicked his subconscious and glanced at Tala, half expecting her to flee now.
"Well, you seem a lot more interesting that many other wolves," he began when she asked what he thought of her. Once again, he resumed his straight face and looked straight forward, occasionally looking at her out of the corner of his eyes. "You weren't nasty right off the bat like a couple packmates I could mention," he added after a moment. He had a list somewhere in his head, it was just taking him a moment to collect his scattered thoughts, especially after his little slip.

She blushed and kept her eyes to the ground, feeling to nervous to look into his own. She could feel her body stiffen as she moved along. Zaal had to be the only wolf who noticed her and was nice to her. She swallowed, her tongue feeling as if it took up her entire mouth. She relaesed a sigh at his next words. "You caught me at a good time," she muttered. He didn't know what Tala was really like, what she was capable of when she let off steam. It was as if nothing, no one else mattered and she'd take her anger, her emotions out on anyone that came by, including him. That's why Dachian had left her. They could be having pups right now if she'd never shown him her bad side. But she had and now they were nothing.
She looked up at Zaal, so naive, and unknowing what she was really like. As she looked into his beautiful eyes, she made a vow that she'd keep her badside away from him so he wouldn't be scared off. She turned her head away from him once more. "This is Falling Moon, what do you expect?" she asked with a shrug. The wolves here were basically wolves that didn't give a shit about anyone but themselves, their mates and their pups. Some were even awful to their families. These were wolves who had trusting issues. Maybe acting so cold was their way to keep from seeming vulnerable.

"You caught me at a good time."
"What was that? he asked, looking over to her. Zaal actually hadn't heard her, but decided that it must not have been that important or she would have said it louder. "I don't expect a whole lot actually," Zaal answered flatly. With the vicious Duke as their leader, well, that was enough to not think much of the pack. And then, his family was one of the families that was scattered. From what he'd heard, his parents weren't very close when he was born, his aunts were always fighting and one of them killed both his parents.
So, yes, Zaal was used to the nastiness of the typical Falling Moon wolf, but the whole good side, evil side thing never would have crossed his mind. He looked over at her and raised his eyebrow slightly, wondering if he should even bring up the next topic. "So...I heard you were with my brother for a little bit," he said casually, unable to stop himself. He might've brought it up months ago, but he never talked to this wolf so he never had the chance to.

She shook her head, dismissing those words. What he didn't know wouldn't hurt him. And besides, she'd already decided to keep it a secret from him. "That's good," she said with a small sigh, breathing out as she spoke the words. Her ears pricked at his questioning statement, and she looked up suddenly, into his eyes, partly unsure as to who he was talking about. He couldn't possibly be talking about Dachian, could he? But now that she looked she could see the resemblance. Her stomach did a flip but she managed to keep her emotions blank. Did he know everything? About her mood swing in No Man's Land with Vixen?
"Dachian?" she questioned innocently as if it didn't hurt her to say the name. "I didn't know you were related to him," she said, passing time but slowly making her way to the question. "Yeah, I guess. But then again, he's been with every female for a little while," she said, voice getting slightly sharper. She looked back down and kicked a small rock forward, focusing on that so he wouldn't be able to see any slightly visible pain in her eyes.

He didn't know much about Dach's relationship with Tala. All he knew was that he heard they were together and next thing he knew, the word was that his brother was with Iris. Zaal shook his head slightly and looked at Tala. "Yep, Dachian. He's my brother," he stated.
The brown wolf let out a sort of snicker at Tala's next statement and then nodded. "That seems true enough. It seems like he can't find a good place to settle down," he said. He sort of wanted to know how it felt to have your mate leave you and hook up with your sister, but even he was smart enough to know that he should keep that question to himself. He could tell that he'd made the wrong choice in bringing up his brother. "Well, if he's so easily swayed from one female to the next, maybe you weren't meant to be with him," he suggested with a shrug.

"It seems like he doesn't want to find a place to settle down," she corrected him. She'd known Dachian for a while. First he was all over Deppene, then her, then Rose, then Iris, and God knows who else he'd been with. It was getting too much and now she was beginning to believe she didn't want him back. He wasn't dependable and certainly not a loyal mate. He couldn't be trusted in her eyes. But why had it felt so right when they were together? She sighed and looked up at him, letting her eyes linger over him for a while. How had she missed the similiarity between their brown coats, and the spots? She'd always thought she'd been so observant. But maybe she'd just been trying to erase Dachian from her mind, and she'd forgotten what he looked like.
"Yeah, maybe," she murmured, allowing her eyes to slide away from him. "Anyway, what about you? No special female out there?" she asked, eager to get the spot light off of her and onto him. And besides, she wanted to know more about him. Zaal was nice, and very attractive with a sweet manner about him. Tala was certain that he could win a female's heart easily. But then again, he'd said he'd been withdrawed from the pack, just like her. Maybe he was just to shy to approach a female, or maybe he didn't even want a mate. It was normal for wolves to choose solitary life, but not frequent.

"There's that too," Zaal said, tilting his head to the side slightly. He shrugged and kept walking, his thoughts still on his brother and his many previous mates. He wouldn't understand her problems with Dach even if he tried, considering that he'd never had a mate.
He turned his head to look at her and shrugged. "No, not yet," he said with a sheepish smile as he looked back ahead of him. "I haven't really been looking that hard, though," he muttered looking back to her.
((Sorry is so short. Teacher is kicking me off))
