"I'm sure you will, sooner or later," she commented. Tala believed there was someone else out there for everyone, that perfect someone who would forever and always complete them, but only if they choosed to live outside the solitary. Truthfully, she worried for Zaal. She didn't want him wandering around these lands all alone for the rest of his life. She turned to look at him a sad expression as she looked at his cute face. She could only hope that someone would find him and complete him. That why Tala was leaving, to look for that one thing or wolf that completed her. She wouldn't be satisfied with this emptiness for the rest of her life.
But maybe looking was a bad choice. Maybe you just had to go with the flow and let it happen. Looking for a mate wasn't the only reason Tala was leaving. She just needed to get away from this pack for a while. As of right now, she didn't feel as if she'd belonged there and everything was just so out of place and she just needed time on her own, to sort things out.

"Hopefully," came Zaal's response as he looked around them and looked back at Tala. Perhaps he was just imagining it, but she seemed distant as if she had a lot on her mind. Being an heiress, he didn't blame her, but he had no idea of her plans to leave the valley.
Zaal, however, was pretty much all words and no action. He might say he'd leave the pack and possibly the valley, but part of him knew he never would. He was born in this pack and he'd likely die in it. As the silence stretched on, Zaal began to fidget slightly before speaking up. "Is...something on your mind?" he asked hesitantly, his ears pricked with curiosity.

Tala said nothing for a while, still trying to decide who she'd tell about her leaving and who she wouldn't. Well, she'd definitly have to tell her parents, as hard as that may be. They wouldn't be able to take her leaving the valley without her even telling them. They'd come up with numerous conclusions that something may have happened to her and it would just be unbearable for them, the guilt unbearable for herself. She prayed that they'd understand her needs and that they'd let her go. She'd promise to return one day and that should probably help with the final decision.
"Oh, well, just thinking about who I'm gonna tell about me leaving the valley," she told him absentmindedly with a shrug. There really weren't a lot of wolves to tell. There was only Zaal, Dachian, Seta, Rose, Iris, Onisim, and Tessar and of course her parents. She wondered if even her siblings would care. Well, she figured some would and the ones that didn't probably was only because Tala had never made an effort to get to know them. But then again, it wasn't as if they'd tried to get to know her. Zaal froze, but only for a second and tried to cover it with a slight stumble. His head lowered slightly and he looked at her with a guarded expression as if he thought she was trying to trick him. He'd never thought of a joke like that and silently told himself that he'd have to try that trick one someone soon. But now wasn't particularly the time for games.
"You're leaving?" he asked, feeling a bit of injustice. He'd just gotten to know a wolf that wasn't related to him for the first time in a long time and she was just getting ready to up and leave the pack and the valley. Karma's not very nice sometimes. "Any particular reason, or have you already secretly explained them and I'm too dull to pick up the references?" he asked with a slight smile.

"Yeah, I'm leaving," she said glancing to him to see his reaction. She didn't expect much. Really, if she fell off the face of the earth no one would care. It was as simple as that. As she thought it she knew it seemed self-pitying, but it wasn't really. She'd come to accept and no longer pitied herself. It was just nothing more than a straight fact now."I told you Zaal," she said softly, looking to the ground. "I need to find a purpose and a place I belong. I just don't think I could find that here," she said, a bit irritated. Had the things she said gone through one ear and out the other? She sighed and glanced up at him and shrugged. "It's the mystery I told you about," she told him as if that would help ring a bell.

Zaal nodded slightly. "Oh yeah," he said softly. "I guess I just didn't put them together." He sighed and looked up at her, his eyelids dropping slightly as if he was tired, which he wasn't. "So when were you planning on leaving?" he asked, turning his head to look in the opposite direction before turning back.
He tried to subdue his thoughts about how unfair it was that she was leaving right after he felt they'd become friends. Instead, he replaced them with thoughts about how maybe some higher power just didn't want him to have friends. Yeah, that's believable. Another sigh sounded from his muzzle as he looked at Tala.

"Aww..Are you sad I'm leaving?" she asked in a teasing tone, though truthfully wanting to know his answer. "I don't really know...Soon, I suppose," she answered. It'd probably be best not to linger around. If she did, it would make it harder on the other wolves who'd have to let her go, and harder on her. Some others may be able to convince her to stay, but she'd only be doing it out of pity.
She knew it would be hard leaving Zaal. He was the only one who seemed to care about really getting to know her and he just seemed to be the only one who cared. "Why don't you come with me?" she asked, perking up a bit, and then relaxing for it was possible he wouldn't even budge just because she asked him to.

Zaal nodded absentmindedly in response to her question and sighed, glancing at her out of the corner of his eyes. His heart jumped slightly at her next question and he fully raised his head and turned his face towards her. Now he was torn between Kaneko's want to RP him and her want for him to be with Tala wanting to go with her and wanting to stay with the pack. Sure there wasn't much for him there and Tala seemed to be the only one interested in carrying on an extended conversation with him, but still.
"I don't know," he said at first. "Are you just wandering about or do you have a set place in mind? Will we ever come back to the valley once we're done exploring?" he asked. In his heart, he knew that he would probably wind up leaving with her so he wouldn't have to live through a lonely existence in the pack after finally making a friend, but he still felt like he should have the answers to those questions.

She smiled slightly as he nodded, but it was hard to be sure if he really meant that from the absentminded way he'd answered. So she didn't know whether to be flattered by his answer or hurt. So she was nothing..Just empty. She decided to be careful with how she worded her answers. She wouldn't lie to him, just go around it a bit. "Yeah, I'm gonna be wondering mostly. Stopping and trying different packs," she murmured, feeling uncomfortable with this answer. Maybe he didn't want to wander. Maybe he liked the security of being in a pack and how easy it was to get food. Maybe he wasn't a changing type of wolf. Maybe he liked being in one place, and sticking to one routine, because it just made him feel safe.
"I'm planning on coming back," she said quickly, feeling a lot better about this answer. She didn't want him to think they'd be gone forever because she had a feeling he wouldn't like that. The fact that he even had to ask questions to leave this place gave her that idea so she said it proudly. "We'll just do enough wandering and then come back and settle down again," she told him with a smile. "What do you think?"

Zaal slowly began to nod his head as she answered and then smiled slightly and looked up at her. "That sounds like a good plan." he said. "I'll come with you, if you'll have me," he added the last part quickly in case she'd suddenly decided that she didn't want to travel with him after all.
He looked at her curiously, waiting for a response and his mind was racing. It would be a nice change of pace to just wander about as loners, dabbling in different packs and possibly moving on. He figured that's what he needed to drag him from his loner within the pack ways, change. The more he thought about it, the more comfortable and excited his got with the idea. And the bonus to it all was that he wouldn't be losing his new friend after all.

Tala beamed. "Good," she said happily, glad that her new friend would be her company on her long journey. Now she couldn't wait to go. It'd be great with Zaal and no one else. It'd be peaceful and he'd serve as a great companion for her. And if any danger occurred, they'd protect each other.
"Well, you should probably tell your loved ones, and I'll do the same. We can meet back here when we're done," she said, still smiling gleefully from the news she'd just heard. She wouldn't be traveling along after all. Quickly, she moved towards him and gently licked his cheek. "Thank you," she said and darted off to tell her parents she was leaving.

"I don't have any loved ones," Zaal muttered. The only one who'd notice I was gone might be Dachian, but he might not care. Should probly tell him anyway, he thought and sighed. He grinned happily when Tala licked his cheek and turned towards No Man's Land to see if he could find his brother.
