Josiah stopped chuckling as she glared, and whimpered a little before cuddling into her fur like a pup, trying to make her smile. He looked at her, green eyes soft, and he noticed the expression on her face. She seemed to be battling with herself on the inside; about what, he did not know. His eyes showed concern until she sighed and turned around, and the words that came next were music to his ears.
It was all he could do not to jump up and lick her face over and over again. His heart swelled, and he felt like he could fly if he jumped off the lookout, though he wasn't dumb enough to try it. He stood up, tail wagging happily, and he nudged her gently with his nose. His ears went back, and he smiled at her, his body warm with the happiness of knowing that above all others, she had chosen him. And he had chosen her. No awkardness would ensue her words, for he felt the same as she.
Almira, you don't know how happy I am to hear those words leave your lips. For I feel the same as you. He looked at her, eyes deep with emotion, but not the sadness and confusion he had grown accustomed to as of late. No, this time they were filled with something else-love for this fae, Almira. His partner, his friend, his love. And hopefully soon, his mate.

Relief flooded through her, and her tail began to wag, eyes sparkling with affection, love, and happiness for the first time in years. She felt as if she were complete. Josiah had been the last piece to the puzzle, and she'd found him and put him into place, and now she was finished and satisified. She pushed herself to her feet, and leaned into his nuzzles, closing her eyes in content. "Yeah, well you better be. You really don't know how hard it was for me to do that," she commened teasingly. "I thought males were supposed to make the first moves," she added, pulling away from him to peer into his eyes, no longer afraid of what she'd see there.
Somehow, Josiah had figured out away to melt her heart, and she'd been able to let him in, and she wasn't sure how it had happened, but he'd done it, one or another. She felt cured and it was like all the mistakes one life contained all finally started to go away. All of those bad decisions she'd made didn't matter because it had all turned out okay in the end. She remembered a saying her mother once told her, something that kept her going through the tough times. "It'll all be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." As she thought of that, she could almost hear her voice, and she could feel a pang of sadness. She missed her mother, but not even that seemed to be able to bring down her mood.

He grinned, tail wagging faster, and he rested his chin on her neck. I know Mira. But in case you haven't noticed, I'm not really like 'normal' males, at least not the ones in this pack. He chuckled, glad to be with her, to feel her fur close to his, to share to same feelings. To be near her was just enough to melt his heart, and his stomach-which had had butterflies earlier-now was settled. He smiled at her again, and licked her cheek affectionately. Then he turned to survey their lands, their home. Being beta was great and all, but it meant nothing to him without her.
He sighed contentedly, looking out and seeing their expanse of territory. He looked back to her, and nudged her gently. So, Almira, I daresay we haven't had our first 'date' yet. You pick, and I'll provide the food. He gave a grin, all joy radiating off him in the warmth off the moment. He felt so overjoyed with the truth being out now, he didn't want to ruin the mood. And nothing could bring him down now.

She laughed, and her body seemed to tense as he planted a sloppy wolf kiss on her cheek, thought she didn't refuse it. She like his touches, soft and gentle and made just for her. She smiled at him, and then circled him slowly, eyes focusing intently upon his. She let her tail slip over his back in a seductive manner. "It's spring," she murmured but decided to leave it at that. Josiah was a smart brute. He'd figure it out eventually. Suddenly, she shook her head. "No, you're just not normal. Period," she said with a teasing smile. "You're unique," she murmured. "That's what I love about you." She pressed her head into the fur on his neck, closing her eyes, and nuzzling against it.
When she finally raised her head, she lifted a brow. A date? a voice in her head said. Oh, just humor him, the voice said, and she smirked. "I don't care where we go, just as long as I'm with you," she told him, not really a fan of this whole mushy stuff, but he liked it and it wasn't that bad. She just had to get used to it. "C'mon," she said after taking one last look at the lookout she began to head down glancing over her shoulder to see if he was coming, and skidding to a halt, deciding to wait for him.

He watched her carefully, green eyes never leaving her body as she moved around. He shuddered when he felt her tail slide smoothly across his back, ehr touch sending chills up his spine, but in a good way. He raised an eyebrow at her, hearing her words which echoed in his head. I know. He gave a sly grin, and nipped at her rump gently, coming within centimeters of her. He pulled his head back and took a step toward her, and he gave a smile. I may be unique in my own way, but believe me, you are just as "unique" as you claim I am. I've never met anyone like you before, and I wouldn't have it any other way. He smiled warmly and looked at her, nuzzling into her as well, enjoying her touch.
He watched as she pulled away, and saw her moving away. He nodded, and looked out over the lookout one last time before making his exit behind her.

Her flirtatious act was something that had helped her through the years. She felt as if it had given her power and that she had the complete control over any male with just a simple flick of her tail, just as she was doing with Josiah, though she'd never take advantage of him. She loved him and she would probably give up her flirtatious attitude to other males, except him. But having done it so long, she knew it'd be hard to let go and it would take some time. She could only hope that he wouldn't hold it against her. As they walked, she stayed close to him, letting their bodies touch. She wasn't sure where they were going, and truthfully she didn't care. That was the farthest thing from her mind at that moment. "So, pups. Yes, or no?" she asked, feeling more comfortable around him now that she'd gotten the worst over with.
As they moved down from the lookout, she found herself thinking of names, of what they'll look like and what it would actually be like to have a family, to be apart of something for once. She let out a sigh, content with her life and how great everything seemed to work out. Her past no longer seemed to bother her and she was suddenly grateful that that male she'd left with years ago, had left her for others. If he hadn't, Almira would've never found Josiah, the male of her dreams. She glanced back at him, trying to read his expression and pry out the answer. An eagerness swept over her, but she tried not to let it get too out of control. Just because she'd won Josiah didn't mean he'd stay forever, so she had to keep her cool. She couldn't lose it infront of him. She wouldn't be able to take the pain of losing love a second time.

His green eyes softened, and he rolled the question in his mind over and over. Pups...what would they be like? Would they take after her, him? Or maybe they'd have traits of both, yea that would probably be it. What would they look like though? Most likely a mixture of brown and orange, and the white and tan Almira had on her back. But then, some colors from his wretched parents might slip through just as well. ||What a joy that would be/|| He thought sarcastically, despising the two old wolves. Then another thought came-what pack would they join when they were older? How many would there be, and would they be girls or boys? He was so anxious, so many things he wanted to know but didn't. He would love to have pups though, that was something he knew. And if they were his and Almira's, nothing would matter to him except caring for his beloved mate and children.
He turned to face her, a warm smile on his face. A family was something he lacked, though he had his sister and nieces, they were Dancing Stars, and separated from him. It would be nice to have his own, that he was responsible for. He gave a nod and a loving lick on the cheek to Almira. I'm ready if you are. A family, his family, with her. Everything seemed to fall into place. He looked around, not knowing where they were headed, but the thought of being a father overtook him, and his heart filled with joy. Pups, and parenthood. Almira felt like the seconds were dragging by and by the time he'd actually given her his answer she felt as if it'd been hours. "I'm ready," she murmured, accepting the affectionate lick. Part of her felt like running around the pack and screaming that Josiah was her mate. She almost felt as if he were too good for her, but he'd chosen her and she had to trust him that he wanted to be with her and leave it at that. She continued to walk still unsure as to where she was going. She thought about the family and what it would be like to have pups with him. It seemed to be about the fifth time she'd thought about it.
"What about names," she questioned, turning her head to look at him. It was one thing they could actually discuss together, something they could predict. They couldn't predict the pup's presonalities or what they'd look like so there was really no point in talking about it. However, the names of that pups was going to have to be something they needed to know for when they came.

Josiah looked at her thoughtfully as he racked his brain for names. If they were girls? Hmm..He had always liked the name Fallon, and Denzin seemed to be good for a boy. He looked at her with warmth, and is ears swiveled on his head, listening for any familiar signs as to where they were going. He was barely listening though. All that mattered to him right now was Almira and they future family.
I like Fallon, if we have a little girl. And what about Denzin, if there's a boy? He cocked his head to the side, to see her reaction. He wondered what she would suggest, but he didn't think too much of it, for he'd probably agree. He hadn't been this excited in months, and he just couldn't wait until he saw the expressions on everyone's faces when they found out. But he wasn't going to go tell them-no they'd all figure it out eventually. Especially when Almira gave birth and he would be standing right by her side for support, glowing with proud. He couldn't wait.

Almira nodded her head in agreement, a smile on her muzzle as she tested the names on her tongue. "Fallon and Denzin," she murmured mostly to herself. "They have a ring to it. Especially when you say them together," she commented, glancing at him before back at the ground again. "I was thinking...Omari and Nailah," she told him, looking to him again to catch his expression. Almira had often thought about what to name her pups if she ever had any. Being a loner gave you a lot of time to think and sometimes you just ran out of rational topics and that's how she'd happened upon the names. She could feel excitement bubbling inside of her. It was as if picking the names of their future children was confirming that they were actually going through with this. A smile tugged at her lips, but she tried not to let it grow too big. Josiah nodded, liking the sound of the four names they had chosen. Fallon, Denzin, Omari and Nailah. He hoped there really would be four pups, and he wagged his tail thinking about them. He couldn't believe he was going to be a father. Him! Of all the wolves in Falling Moon, HE was going to father pups this spring! He looked at Almira, catching her smile. I like them. Omari, Nailah, Fallon and Denzin. Our pups. Can you believe it Mira?
He looked ahead of him now, seeing they were headed for the border. He wondered what awaited them there, hopefully no annoying loners to ruin the moment. But then he remembered something. They had to ask permission, before they could go ahead with anything. He looked at his friend, partner, mate. We still have to take care of one more thing, you know.
ooc||Eh, sorry =/

Though Almira had thought of pups before, she had only expected it to be a fantasy. Now it was so surreal and she was overwhelmed with joy and anticipation for the future. She laughed lightly, unable to keep the joy in any longer. She slowly shook her head. "No, I really can't," she murmured, a smile placed on her maw. She pictured the perfect family, but was sure that it wouldn't be easy raising pups. They'd have to work hard. And she'd noticed how the Alpha's family weren't exactly close and Almira vowed that their family wouldn't be like that. She expected some fights but nothing too big.
She was confused at his next words and cocked her head to the side to show it. "What?" she asked curiously, turning her head to look at him while they walked and letting her feet do all the guiding.

He smiled at her, realizing they had reached the border to their land, but not really caring. He bumped her gently, and looked back to the lands. He stopped, his white paws pressed firmly into the ground. We have to ask permission. He sighed, but knew they couldn't have their family if it wasn't first approved by Duke or Anevay. He looked at her, his slightly sad expression changing to joy. It wasn't too big of a deal; they were the Betas afterall. They were second in line. His body wiggled with anticipation, and his tail began to wag, slowly at first then quicker. Do you want to call them, or should I? He asked, not caring who did as long as one of them did. And when they got the go-ahead, he'd be even happier than he was now. He was Beta, he had Almira, what more could he ask for? Oh, he couldn't wait to tell his sister about this. ooc||Yes, I know Eveline is dead, but he doesn't know that yet. And it's short, Im sorry

Almira sighed, really wishing they could skip this part. She hated asking permission for anything, for she still used to following her own rules. As a loner, you listened to no one and you lived your life the way you wanted to live it. But now it was different. Sure, she had a good amount of power over the rest of the wolves in the pack and there were only Duke and Anevay ruling over them, but it still irked her. "Oh, joy," she muttered sarcastically leaning into him for a moment as if she could find the strength within his glossy pelt. "I'll do it," she said, quickly lifting her head to release a howl which echoed through the air, calling for one of their alphas.
It was Anevay that arrived moments later. She'd expected a call from the betas sooner or later for there were still things needed to be discussed. Pack things. She didn't know where Duke had been lately and so she found she was getting no help from him. However, Josiah and Almira could surely help in pack situations. But as she approached them she felt that they planned on telling her something else. Judging from how close they were, she wondered if they were more than just partners, but kept her questions to herself, knowing she'd find out soon enough why they'd called her. "Yes?" she asked. He brushed against her again, then turned his head when another scent crossed his nose. He turned his head towards Anevay, and gave a nodd in greeting. Though he was beta now, he still kept his head lower than his superiors. He wondered what was going on in her head as she approached the pair, and the casual yes escaped her maw. He gulped slightly, then cleared his throat.
Nice to see you again Anevay. How are you? He didn't want to beat around the bush, but he couldn't exactly find the words to come out right. He looked to Almira, his eyes showing he was looking for help, and hoped she could. Anevay was still a bit...intimidating, though he had known her a long time. She had been one of the first wolves he'd ever met in Falling Moon, next to Cocoa and Shaye. But it didn't take the edge off, at least not a significant amount anyway.
