Anevay sighed at the stupid small talk and rolled her eyes. "Okay, what do you want?" she asked, irritation clear in her voice. "I really don't have time to fool around," she added, glancing to Almira and hoping she'd get straight to the point. She seemed like the type who also didn't enjoy the pointless small talk that occasionally popped up in meetings like this one. But she decided not to be too mean. Josiah amused her. He was a grown male, beta of Falling Moon, and yet he still had some fear of Anevay. It was funny watching him swallow before he talked, or how he looked to Almira for support when in actually she should be looking to him. But, hey, whatever helped them sleep at night, it was fine with her.
Almira smirked at Josiah's sudden change in behavior. She could tell he was nervous, for it really wasn't too hard to miss. But instead of finding disgust in it, like Anevay, she found it cute. Josiah was just like her big cuddly teddy bear and she loved him so much. Her smile faded as she looked back at Anevay. "We were wondering if we could have pups," she said tersely, voice unwavering and confident, though she was still unsure of the answer. But why wouldn't the Alphess want to add as many pups to their pack as possible? She'd want that, right? Or maybe she found more wolves to just be a burden. There was nothing to do but wait patiently for her answer. Unfortunately for Almira, patience wasn't one thing that was actually on her side and she found herself shifting her weight frequently.
Anevay slowly nodded her head after a few minutes and her ears perked, catching the sigh of relief from Almira. She smirked at it, glad that she could actually send some happiness among these dull lands. Glancing from Almira to Josiah, she nodded her head slightly to both. "Get to work. Patrolling the borders and such. You can also accept new pack members. I don't want two betas for them just to lay around." She turned to leave, but stopped and glanced over her shoulder. "Soon to be parents. Good luck." She let out a chuckle and disappeared over the tundra.
