Vixen lay still in her den, her protruding stomach as achy as ever. She looked at her belly and scowled. She'd never looked so hideous. She rolled onto her back, and let her tongue loll out. She quickly returned to her original position, because upside dwn the weight made it hard to breathe. A sharp pain sht through her stomach and...
*skip the ucky stuff xP*
Vixen licked her newborn twins, satisfied with her now slim body. She still had some extra pounds, but with her lifestyle it'd be gone in a jiffy. She rested her chin on the bottom of the den as her two pups suckled. Their eyes hadn't even opened yet. She looked back at them nce more. A male and a female. Exactly wht she'd wanted. She returned to her resting position, and her eyes began to droop.

Roan walked a little sadly towards the dens. Head hung low, a small sigh escaped him. After his chat with Midnight, he was constantly thinking about asking Carmine to be his mate. But whenever he stopped to howl for her, his throat became dry and his words became jumbled in his mind. Not a very good thing, and he was beginning to think he would never be able to ask her to be his mate. They would stay as friends.
She had Toboe, surely that would be enough? She'd be happy with the happy-go-lucky wolf, he was kind and confident. He'd probably be able to put up a fight, too.
Stopping, Roan perked up when he caught the scent of blood. His heart skipped a beat, was something wrong? Sniffing the air, he found Vixen's scent and the grey wolf raced to the dens, peeking into each until he found Vixen. He stared at her, looking her all over before his gaze moved on to the pups.
Roan was a little surprised, but he slowly smiled and cleared his throat.
"Vixen...?" he said uncertainly, wondering if she just wanted sleep. Roan wanted to know who her mate was, he never knew about this.

Vixen's head snapped up and so did her ears. "Roan?" She said smiling. SHe hadn't seen him since she's first started liking Loch. "Hi!" She said, remembering that it's slipped her mind to tell him about Lash. "So... How's life? Got a mate yet? I do, as you can see." Her tail thumped against the ground.
I bet he's mad.... She thought to herself. "I haven't seen you in forever!" She shouted happily. |

Roan stepped in unsurely, glancing at the pups again. They were quite pretty, but he was still curious about Vixen's mate.
"I know, I've not been around much." he said back, sitting on his rump. He looked at Vixen again, his smile widening a bit. He was happy for his friend, and his tail wagged slightly.
"Uhm, no... I don't." he replied rather awkwardly, but at least it was an opening to ask about her mate. He glanced at the pups again, they were pretty.
"Who's the father?"
Roan hoped he was a kind wolf. Vixen deserved it, sure she could be a bit annoying, but everyone had their flaws. He gazed at her, all his sadness almost gone. She was lucky, having a mate and pups… She must really love the guy if she had pups with him.
"And what are you going to name them?"

Vixen smiled, glad he wasn't just moping around dancing stars, but inside she was saddening. Her and her good friend Roan had grown apart. Now they had next to nothing in common. "Well, I'm sure you will have found one by next spring. I can't believe you don't have one yet, I mean, /Thor/ even has one. He's expecting pups too." She blushed slightly, remembering all the hours she sat there thinking about her friend that stood before her. She pushed the thought away as he asked about Lash.
"Lash is the father. He just joined Dancing Stars, but I met him even before he joined us." Her smile grew. "I think Baya for the girl, but I'll let him name his son." Her tail thumped against the den floor.
