It was a lazy day, Sukalina admitted, huddled deep underground in her sheltering den. So far, there wasn't anybody else here in this particular den, but she was sure there would be someone coming in here to warm up sometime. She wondered how anybody could be out there in the snowfall, with the blistering wind pleting at their furtips and cracking their pads.
She lifted up her haunches and stretched her front legs and shoulders, arching forward and yawning hugely. She had eaten a few days ago and was only now starting to feel the edges of hunger, and she guessed the pack was feeling it, too.
I suppose some of the pack will be hunting again soon, before the winter gets worse.
The wind howled serenly outside, and Suka perked her ears to listen. Without Shaddix here to lay by her side, and her pups being full grown, it sometimes got lonely just hanging around by herself. Perhaps she needed to socialize more with her friends, like Quianna or Eveline.

He shifted his relatively light weight, glancing at the treetops with a happy expression. He gave thought to all the possibilities, thinking of not only himself, but of this meeting with Carmine, and what had become of it in its short time. Toboe chuckled, looking back at her. "I've been told I have a big mouth... You can probably tell from my gaping smile." He bared his teeth as he tried his hardest to stretch his lips as far back as possible. It was silly and immature, but... Hey, he was who he was, and that was Toboe! Besides, he didn't feel the need to impress Carmine with his "wondrous" strenghts. "Mr. Big Mouth. No wonder why my cousin, Caerwyn, doesn't talk about me much, haha," he laughed jokingly, soon wiping the toothy smile off of his face. He didn't want to overdo it.
He couldn't wipe the entire smile off of his face, however, and so it lingered as he stared at Carmine's facial features. "How long have you been here, Carmine? I've also been told I'm horribly unobservant, so please don't be offended..." He offered her a happy wag of his tail.

The male contorted his face into one of pure confusion. Daydreams? Could someone really have a bad daydream? Like a nightmare, for someone who was awake... He shook his head, not wanting to believe it. He hated nightmares, and it was bad enough that they sometimes haunted his dreams at night, but if you could have a nightmare while you were awake, too... He was screwed!!
He threw away his gullible thoughts, nowing focusing his entire attention on the pretty female, Carmine. "I'm Toboe, son of Frosty and Crystal." He chuckled at his own words; ever since he was a pup, he loved to brag about his heritage. "I know I've seen you before, but I don't believe I've heard your name." His eyes softened a bit, flashing with humor for his next sentance. "But, even if you did tell me your name within the next couple of seconds, I don't suppose it would matter, because now I'll always think of you as The Daydreamer."
Did that sound like a pick-up line? Oops.

"Why are you whimpering?" A young male had just been wandering No-Man's-Land, when he had caught sight of Carmine. He was quite obviously Dancing Stars, anyone could tell by the soft look of his eyes and his gentle demeanor. He padded over towards the female, taking a quick, attentive look around the clearing, expecting something to be out there. He looked back at Carmine. "Did you hear something?" He offered her a kindly, though questioning, smile.

As if the idea was completely absurd, Satine snorted and cast a sharp glance in Hood's direction. Satine had suggested things like that before, but... For some reason, just hearing it loud today made her change her mind. Besides, who would feed her if the others were gone? She mentioned that. "I'm feeling too lazy, to be honest, to rid this pack of its motherless bastards; they catch the food around here and I scavange off of their leftovers. What I think is we should at least wait until there is another war... There's bound to be one coming. Then once we rid Falling Moon of its filth we can launch another attack on Dancing Stars. They'd be weak." She looked away from the male and stared at the grass shoots near her feet. Did she really mean what she said? Yes, she did. A change would be good.
But...
Did she really want to die in Falling Moon? Bullcrap. She shook her pelt, and clumps of fur flew in many directions. "Mange in winter, I swear..."

"You flatter me, Marilyn," Satine replied back, not offended at at all, but quite amused. But as for Hood, she licked her mouth once more, flicking her tail as her gaze traveled near his rump. She held back a cliche line, instead turning to give a judging look at Almira. She hadn't ever seen or heard of this female before, so she probably wasn't a big deal, but Satine always made sure to give everyone a chance to prove their worth. So far, though, from what she gathered, she seemed as blunt as Marilyn; maybe that was a good sign, or maybe that was a bad one.
She looked back at Hood and Marilyn, catching up on the conversation. Apparently Hood had caught the blunt-butt while she was hunting, and she and Almira came to the party slightly late. "This is actually a nice group for me. None of those other idiots here to ruin the get-together, huh? We're some of the only ones who put life into this pack, I'd say." She rolled her eyes as she smiled and looked away, towards distance treetops.

LATE POST D:
"I wouldn't be too hasty to claim that title," came a voice from a little ways away. As the off-white female stopped in her tracks, she took a quick stretch, yawning as her rump stuck in the air and her forepaws clawed at the ground a couple feet in front of her. It was Satine again, her smart-allec brown eyes sending Hood a obnoxious give-me-your-best-shot look. She'd heard about this male, even seen in him person for far-off, but never this close. And she had never heard him speak before. "You sound quite annoying, but Marilyn, here, might give you a run for your money. Our money, actually. I can be a smart-ass, too." She licked her chops and scratched at her right ear, her infamous sarcastic smile spread wide across her maw.

"Dark, emocentric, and boring as heaven, as usual," she replied suredly, tossing her tail casually as if her words were normal chit-chat. "I'm keeping re-thinking my choice in joining Falling Moon... All we do is sit back and watch Dancing Stars chew on their left feet, now that we're fat off of these lands. We should start a rebellion just to spice things up." She flashed her yellow canines in a toothy smile, and although she really didn't feel up to her own idea, she'd probably do it in a heartbeat if there were enough 'biters' in the pack on their side. And only because she had nothing better in her spare time.
And to be honest, she wanted to get out this place.
"You're looking less and less like an Omega these days,"' Satine complimented, her eyes focusing on Marilyn's every feature. She exaggerated some of her amazement, but for the most part, she felt like being nice today. "Maybe you'll soon be equal."

"Haha. Hi," Satine replied, without looking over at Marilyn. Instead her ear flicked and her tail thumped once against the snow. Though she hadn't talked to her in a while, she thought the other female sounded exactly the same as the time they first met within the stupid pack. Finally turning to look at her, Satine blinked away some flakes on her eyelashes and drew her pink tongue back into her mouth. "Been pushed around much, lately?" she asked, giving her a sarcastic smile.

The grassland was kind of boring in the winter, Satine thought, but it was just something to do. There was an elk herd nearby, but neither really apid much attention to one another. Or, maybe they just hadn't noticed Satine just yet, considering she had been sitting in the same spot for the last hour, and her creamy pelt blended in well with the snow. Except for her brown muzzle, but it wasn't enough to give away her identity.
The wind was blowing today; as Satine watched the elks digging for the roots and dead grass underneath the snow, she grunted as the wind sometimes blew so hard it seemed to whack her right square in the face. She didn't care, really. The wind was keeping the elk from catching her scent, and she was enjoying just lazing there and watching the animals restlessly search for food for their hungry bellies.
Satine's mind began to wander to past times. She flicked a snowflake from her ear, licking her chops and then letting her tongue loll. She hadn't seen Marilyn in a while...? She remembered that female; she had fun talking to her, they were both spunky females and so the sparks definately flew. Besides, Marilyn was one of the cool Falling Moon wolves; she was rude and liked to talk crap (right? D:), which was usually quite valid information. She probably didn't give much thought to others, either. Just like herself and that guy, Zoom.
She sighed, thinking of Duke and Anevay. What horrible alphas. Now, if Marilyn or Zoom or Hood or maybe even herself were alphas... This pack would be much more fun.

Satine snorted her discontempt, looking away for a few moments before looking back with a smart-allec smirk. She almost seemed to expect a comment such as this out of Zoom. "For such a lazy wolf, you sure seem like you chase after girls a lot. With your rubbish pick-up lines." She flicked her tail and her smile widened, and though she probably did mean what she said, she was half-charmed anyway. She loved to flirt with guys like Zoom, the lazy and give-no-crap sort of guy. "Although I think you wouldn't look half-bad without a tail, either."

Satine quickly shook the snow that Zoom flicked at her, and she tisked-tisked. A few months ago, if someone did that to her, they'd be running off with their tail between their legs. But lately the fiery female had strangely begun to settle down. Something inside of her had been drastically changing. So, instead of nipping a warning with her teeth, Satine smirked at the male and chuckled. "Lazy is as lazy does, so they say." She looked down and licked a forepaw before turning back to him. "Thank goodness you showed up, though. I was getting so bored that I was contemplating gnawing my tail off for the sadistic pleasure of it." Her eyes flashed with a sarcastic humor, and she finally gave a quick shake of her head to send snowflakes scattering all around her.
The conversation was going a bit smoother than she had actually planned, but that really wasn't unsual for Satine. She had the knack for changing her plans once she actually put them in action.

When Zoom leaped onto the alpha rock, Satine turned to look at him with a smirk. She recognized his shlumpish demeanor and the lazy way he lay there right away; it was that male, Zoom, a couple years younger than herself, but probably a lot bigger. Satine would enjoy talking to him; he didn't care much about others, or at least, from what Satine had gathered. He loved to relax and he didn't give a crap about what the pack did. If she was wrong, she would find out.
She stood up and padded closer to him, face smart-allecy, but tail raised in a semi-formal greeting, as it should be between packmates. Actually, Satine was quite surprised that he had made the rank of Delta; he may have been a good-sized male, but he was so lazy that it seemed improbable that he was very cooperative with anything that involved work. But Satine had always been a judger.
"So Mr. Lazy is out and about, is he?" Satine asked, keeping the tone friendly... Just for now, until she might decide she would spice things up. She sat down near him, her head turned towards him and ignoring the snowflakes that landed on her colorful face.

"Hrm." Satine sat on her rump and stared at the trees around her. She knew she shouldn't be hanging around this paticular place; the top dogs loved to come here, and she loved to avoid them as much as possible. She just stubbornly decided not to move. The fiesty female was feeling extra rebellious today.
Laying on her side with her head up, she yawned rather hugely and scratched her cheek with a back paw. It had been lazy and boring lately, with not very much happening at all... Maybe some idiot would come along that she could pick a fight with.
