Name: Satine
Gender: Female
Pack: Falling Moon
Rank: Delta
Personality: Talking to Satine is like having someone harshly rub your fur in the wrong direction. She's cold and indifferent towards almost everyone she meets and knows, and isn't afraid to use her insulting tongue. She's intelligent and knows who she should stay away from, such as the alphas, because she never messes with the top dogs, half out of respect towards their superiority and half because she doesn't want to be bothered with their rules and hot-aired attitudes. She's dark, morbid, and always speaks about the wrongs in the world, how love is weakness and everybody is too busy hating each other to care about the territory beyond their fence. Satine has many horrifying secrets of her past that have left her with such a disdainful sorrow towards life, that she has often contemplated suicide. She claims to despise Dancing Stars, dubbing them to be too mushy and stupid and naive for her tastes, but recently she's started to have a growing ache to venture further and further away from Falling Moon, perhaps into Dancing Star's paws. Satine talks about hate, she spreads hate, but truth be told, she only hates herself, and has started to wonder what a life filled with love really feels like.
History: I won't reveal to much, I kind of want it to be a surprise, just to make it fun for her character... But here's a little bit I made up about her: when she was growing up, she had a mother who is just as bitter as herself. Satine was always a quiet and shy pup, preferring to quietly watch a wolf instead of talking to them. She was very observant towards all around her. She never met her father, a loner named Treck, because he ran off as soon as her mother gave birth to her. They never saw him again, and Satine's mother wasn't the same anymore. They lived in a very small pack, with only about four other wolves besides the mother and daughter. It was Satine's first winter when the pack was split up. The alphas went their seperate way, in search of a different pack, and the rest went their seperate ways. Satine's mother took her and they, too, set off for a better territory and a pack that could take care of the pair and feed them. They found several packs along their journey, but none of them would take the mother and pup in, claiming that food sources were already low and they had plenty of hungry pups to feed. So they were chased out.
Growing hungrier and weaker, Satine's mother became angrier and angrier at the world, and quiet little Satine staggered behind her mother as they walked long distances every day. Satine began to fear her mother because she would have angry outbursts and would sometimes nip at Satine's skin if the pup made a mistake.
Eventually, her mother settled down in an abondoned wolf den, leaving Satine there for days alone while she tried to hunt for food. Satine was about a year old, and still hungrier than ever, but when her mother finally came back, she brought no food for Satine, and there was a blood lust in her eyes. That night, Satine's mother tried to kill her daughter with her own teeth as she slept. But Satine had been awake from hunger pains, and had sensed her mother's intent. She tried to bolt past her mother's jaws, but couldn't fully escape them. The sharp canines left a gash on her shoulder as she ran past the angry female, but she escaped her mother forever, with her life intact.
She never forgot the horrible childhood she had. The merciless mother, the abondoning pack, the months upon months of starvation with little eating, the lonely bitterness of having to fend for herself. The gash on her shoulder was too much for Satine, and she had collapsed on the ground in an exhausted heap.
All hope on life was lost until someone found her... A young male had been watching her for the past few hours, and followed her with a sincere curiousity. When she finally collapsed, he strode forward to show her she wasn't alone. He introduced himself to her as Brody, helped her up on her feet, and led her to his den, where there was food for her to eat. He nursed her back to health for weeks, cleaning her wound every few days and talking to her for company, on both their parts. Satine was surprised that Brody always had food for her, because he told her he was a loner and fed himself, and it was hard to live as a wolf in the wilderness when you're alone. As the weeks turned into months, Satine became stronger and stronger and was shortly fully healed and fully fed, as well as the love for Brody that she had harbored in time. She was about two years old and had lived with him for close to a year, just the two of them, when Brody asked her to be his mate. She said yes...
(*looks at watch* Wow, funny where thirty minutes can go...)
