So maybe she wasn't the kindest fae this side of the Hastening River. So maybe she a flirtatious troublemaker from time to time. That still didn't mean she deserved to get lost in this stupid fog. ||My first week here, and I've already gotten myself hopelessly lost like an idiot. I should be ashamed.|| Her blue pools searched futilely for a way out, but there didn't seem to be one. Giving a sigh, the orange fae plopped down onto the ground, her paws sore from walking around in the cold mist for hours.
It was cold, she was lost, her paws hurt, and she was hungry. The ground was moist and soft, and her feet sank down into it every so often, so she had to pull her legs harder out of the ground. She hated this place, and she could barely see with the fog being so thick. ||Oh, forget this. Just damn it all already,|| she thought as she tripped in a hole she hadn't seen. Yes, Malo had decided she couldn't stand this place, but it was made even worse by one simple fact. She knew she was all alone.
Giving an exasperated sigh, she contemplated her situation with a pout on her face. No, she wasn't one to neccessarily be friendly, but she did like company. Once in a while, like now for example. Though she couldn't tell if it was from lonliness, or wanting someone else to share in her misery with her. Either way, this was not working for her at all. She had to get out of here. Before she went utterly insane.

Toboe heard movement just a few yards away. It was something large, maybe another wolf, but there was no wind blowing and so he couldn't smell a thing, and the never-ending, think mists was enough to make any sane wolf believe he was going blind. Toboe could barely even see his feet below him. He knew it was dangerous to approach something he knew nothing of, but he wasn't about to run away like a female would. No, he was strong and brave Toboe, defender of Dancing Stars and Eyelle. He rushed forward with eagerness in his step. Of course, because of the limited visibility, he hadn't seen Malo in time to stop running, and so his legs plummeled over her and he crash-landed onto the ground. "GRAWRRR?"

A yelp was emitted from the fae's throat, and her head whipped around as she felt Toboe's legs kick her. Turning her head around, eyes glowering and teeth bared angrily, she hopped to her feet, tripping again in the same hole as before, and uttering a stream of curses as she did so. Righting herself once more, and avoiding the hole this time, she caught a faint glimpse of tan fur and moved towards it, mind set to attack.
Seeing the wolf, she was angered even more. This wolf, male from what she could see, was much smaller than she, and obviously more idiotic. Looking at him coldly, she stepped closer, not caring that he was much younger than her, and male, and aimed to smack him across his head with her heavy paw. Insolent pup! Jus' what in the hell is wrong with you?? That was my HEAD you nearly kicked off! Malo was heated, and she looked at Toboe distastefully.
She then noticed that he didn't smell of Falling Moon, the smell she had become accustomed to as of late, and she knew immediately he was a Dancing Star. ||Oh gee, THAT explains it,|| she thought bitterly as she waited for him to get up.

'Leave him alone, it was an accident!' came a voice from the fog. Topaz and her brother appeared from the fog, glaring at the falling moon. Quartz glanced at Toboe, who seemed to be alright.
'Yeah, f*** off, it was your fault anyway.' Quartz added to his sister's previous statement. Topaz glanced at Toboe, he seemed unhurt. She deicded not to say anything else, she didn't want to embaress him by defending him too much, she knew how petty some males could get. Her gaze shifted back to Malo.
Topaz never liked to glare at anyone, but she despised nasty people, and this new wolf didn't have to be so rude. Quartz on the other hand, had no objection to giving wolves dirty looks, which was why he was galring hatefully at the falling moon.

"Oww, crazy lady!" He grunted and stood up, glaring at Malo, more out of embarassment than anything else. He didn't appreciate her violent paw-strike, however, but he didn't retaliate. "Hey, that's not very nice. It's not my fault that you were half-hunched over in the middle of the mists and you expected me to actually see you." He turned up his nose with pride, refusing to lose this arguement with the stranger. "I heard something over here so I came to check it out. You must be what I was looking for! I'd tell you my name, but I'm not so sure you deserve a proper greeting!" He narrowed his eyes without worrying about the consequences. If this female wanted to be rude, Toboe would be rude right back.

ooc||Malo's a loner! xD She's just met more FM's than DS's
bic||A look of dislike was sent to each one the three wolves, and she noticed how the two orange ones reminded her of someone...well, two someones actually. The memory of her younger siblings lay floating vaguely in her mind, but as badly as she wanted to reach them, she focused on the present.
I fail to see how this is MY fault. Your little friend here shouldn't be RUNNING in the middle of thick FOG. Ugh, you all are just a bunch of pups, you wouldn't know any better anyway. She snorted, blue pools still anger-filled, but slightly less hard. She could tolerate pups, but a certain level of respect was always needed. She turned to Quartz, and laughed at him haughtily. Such big words from one so young. Who do you think you are, an Alpha? Ha. She laughed at the thought, and sneered at the twins and Toboe. Well, she wanted entertainment, and here it was. Though why the wolf God above had to send her pups she had no idea why.

Toboe bared his teeth with an offended growl. He shoved his face so close to Malo's that his nose whopped hers. "I'm no pup, stranger. In fact, I might even father some of my own pups this Spring!" He thought he sounded brave, until he thought of Eyelle and the thought of having pups with her. His tail began to wag and he didn't even notice, the poor fellow. His backed away and sighed, looking over at Topaz and Quartz. "Hey, guys. You don't have to defend me. And don't be mean to this loser, she's just a lonely old hag who needs some more friends." He smiled innocently and looked back at Malo with big, blue eyes as happy as could be. As if they hadn't been fighting at all. "You're a loner, aren't you? You should join Dancing Stars if you're lonely and want some friends. My name is Toboe and those two over there are Topaz and Quarts, my friiieeends," he told the strange female, dragging out the word "friend" as if she wouldn't know what it was.

Topaz rolled her eyes and took a step towards Malo, 'For your information, we're not actually pups. We haven't been pups for a while, or is that too much for your tiny brain to cope with, would you like me to make it simpler?' she asked poisenously.
Why was it that this generation was always called pups? They were OVER a year old, so that ment they weren't pups.
Quartz snorted, 'For all your information I could be, mind you, with a brain like yours I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a tree's weight and yours...Oh wait, no one could!'
Topaz closed her eyes, trying not to roll her eyes at her brother, why must he insist on telling rubbish jokes? She sighed, and opened her eyes, she wouldn't say anything to him though.
'Seeing as your so insistant we're pups, why not pick on someone your own size?'
Topaz listened to Toboe thoughtfully, pups? When did he get a mate? She shook the thought from her head, if she spoke up know it would ruin it for him.
'She smells like Falling Moon, she wouldn't be allowed into the pack anyway.' Quartz added gruffly.
ooc// They're not orange by the way...They're like yellowy gold =]

Malo gave a snarl as he camely deadly close to her jaws, within snapping range. If she got a hold of him, it would be over. In my eyes, you are a pup. Deal with it. You're too young to even be thinking about having children of your own. She glared at him, and when she heard the word hag she nearly flipped. I am NOT an old hag you idiotic bafoon! I'm only three dammit! She aimed to whack him upside the head again.
Turning her head to the twins, she snorted, obviously not interested in their crude remarks or wanna-be insults. Surveying Quartz silently, she gave an amused laugh. Sure, Mr. Alpha sir. A tree. You must be soo much smarter, seeing as how your intelligence has just stumped me by such a pathetic insult. She laughed again, and looked at the three, turning to Topaz as she spoke. Eyeing her carefully, Malo raised an eyebrow. If you don't mind me saying so, miss bossy, you were the one who started this whole arguement, did you not? We were fine until you two showed up.
Then she heard Toboe's next remark and pulled her paw down reluctantly. ||Oh lord, not a very bright one is he?|| she thought with an exasperated sigh. Whoop-dee-doo. Sitting back carefully, she looked at them and shook her head with disappointment. Yes, Toboe, I am a loner. I guess I could give you my name, I did smack you in your skull. I'm Maaaalooo. She enunciated slowly for him. And the only reason I smell like Falling Moons is because they've been more abundant than you Dancing Stars, she said, and shot a look towards Topaz.

He flinched at her paw, but when no strike came, he relaxed a bit, sitting back on his behind and pulling his tail around a back leg. He didn't know why he was feeling so comfortable around the older female, he knew he should consider her an enemy. She might still some of their food, or maybe she had a thing against pups and she would try and kill newborns! Nahh, Maaaaalllloo seemed nice enough, like she just pretended to be tough. Toboe figured he was probably wrong like usual. "Umm, why would you want to be a loner, anyways?" he asked, glancing at the twins as he asked his question. "And you should kill the next Falling Moon wolf you see. They're evil." His face turned a bit pouty and serious.

Another eyebrow raise was given, and she tilted her head to the side-this pup was certainly a strange one; she'd never met anyone like him. She gave a chuckle, remembering her own youth and wondering if she had ever been that naive. The answer was no, she'd always been a bit smarter than her littermates, and in truth, a lot of the adults of her pack too. This young male intrigued her, with his tan fur and eyes that matched her own-she wondered just how sheltered he had been growing up.
Listening to him quietly, she looked at him with curiousity. What does that have to do with me? I can't go kill someone simply because you told me to do so darlin'. And what makes you think they're evil, hmm? Have you ever thought that they were just..misunderstood perhaps?

Toboe snorted and spat at the ground. "As if. They used to be a part of our pack, but they wanted power, so they took off. Eventually they decided that they wanted their old home back, so they forced us off of it and killed our alpha in the process. They have a reputation, darlin', for hurting my family and slaughtering wolves to get what they want." His neck fur fluffed out and he felt himself getting fired up. Those Falling Moon wolves had hurt his family and his childhood, and he knew he'd never forgive them. And he wasn't even someone who was directly affected by their merciless killings!
He eyed Malo indifferently, a sudden change from before. To him, if you weren't against Falling Moon, you were just as evil as they were. "Just keep in mind that many of them would kill you without hesitation. They've done it before."

She gave a sigh, knowing he was going to be stubborn. There didn't seem to be any possible way to make him think otherwise. She hadn't thought of them as evil, hell, she liked some of them. Hood and Marilyn were a very interesting pair to her; not to mention the fact that Hood was quite handsome in her eyes. Maybe it was because she found that they were like her, and she hadn't seen other wolves in months. She looked at him, not knowing what to tell him.
Well, I can't change the way you think. Just remember, if they could do it to you, you could probably do it to them. Either way, just remember that even though they are "evil" they still have feelings. We're all wolves here, we are all similiar in one way or another, like it or not sweetie. So keep that in mind. She stood up, as if she was preparing to leave. This pup...Toboe. Something about him reminded her of someone she had known long ago, someone who had had the same innocence about him as well. For a moment, her heart went out to the poor fellow, and she managed to muster a small smile.
Stepping past him, moving on, she whispered into his ear, making sure that Topaz and Quartz could not hear her. You're a good kid Toboe. Don't ever let anyone change that.

It wasn't at all what he had expected, and the randomness of her words brought a blush to his cheeks underneath his tan fur. He must have done something to impress the loner, so he couldn't help but smile all awkwardly-like. As she moved away, he turned and watched her with a new curiousity, thinking about what she said. He knew that they were wolves with feelings, too, but their feelings were perverted. They killed without mercy and surely they would do it again. It was obvious that there would be another battle and the outcome of it was unpredictable. Malo would see. The loners were right smack in the middle of it all. Someday she'd understand why he hated them so much.
He blinked his dark, blue eyes, and glanced back at Topaz and Quartz, having forgotten they were even there, for a short moment. Malo was so interesting that he had been drawn into her words.

She looked back as she moved on, noticing the twins hadn't said a word for quite some time. Not that she cared, they were just snotty kids anyway. She kept moving though, and gave another small smile to the young male. She had finally figured out who he reminded her of-her brother Dusk. Not that it mattered now anyway of course, and her smile faded as quickly as it had appeared, leaving just a thin line on her maw. She had to get out of here. The memory of her little brother pained her, and this was getting to be too much.
She had been on her own for a long time, never letting anyone push her around or get the best of her. She had been strong, showing no weakness and no concern for anyone else but herself. She'd been a loner, and survived things that no one here could even dream of. But yet here she was, near to tears at the memory of a piece of her past, a wolf who would always have a place in her heart. He had been so cruelly ripped from it, and it had been all her fault. She hadn't been there to protect him, or Dawn...
She moved quickly, tears streaming down her cheek slowly, and she wanted to get away from Toboe as fast as possible. This was all just too much.
